Awesome place to find some old school gems! Jose is also capable of fixing old games that are not saving, and I would highly recommend having him fix your old gen 1-3 Pokemon games! He was able to fix a gold that I thought was completely dead!

Great store with a huge selection of popular new console games with an even bigger selection of classic and hard to find games. Always something to check out.

Great place for retro games! Always well stocked! I really enjoy the collection of boxes hanging over each section making it easy to find things. Also a good selection of DVD sets as well! Repeat customer!!!

Went here on a whim. I was impressed with the large selection of video games and movies. I was helped by a very nice associate. She helped me pick out a nice used PlayStation 4 game. They also have military discount here!

Gots lots of used games and a few pinball machines for sale. I found two ds games in the parking lot and traded them for Pokémon cards.

Very knowledgable staff and a wide selection of retro games/consoles. I bought my N64 along with SM64 and Ocarina of Time from this shop around 2 years ago. Never once have I had a problem with the system or games. They are a bit picky with which systems they purchase, but this ensures you are getting a quality product. Definitely stop by here if you are a retro gaming fan.

I found Doc’s by accident and can’t believe I didn’t know this store was within my 30-minute driving radius. Looking for a Gameboy SP online, this store showed up in my search results along with a couple of other classic video game stores. Calling the store, they did have a few SP systems so I had to pick one up!! The store is actually pretty large and they have a huge selection of games, including a few reproduction and rare games - prices are reasonable for average games for all the classic systems; averaging at under $20 for most NES, SNES, GBA, DS and other such games. Rare games will vary, some hard to find GBA games could be $70+. Anyways, I think prices were super reasonable and on top of that they do a punch stamp thing that can save one an extra 10%. Happy to have found this store, excited to have found a SP locally, and definitely plan to visit again!! The team’s also knowledgeable and helpful. Also got to visit their other store on E Iliff; which was also awesome.

was such an incredible experience. My husband and I will be repeat customers. They are such a great little gem of a game store! We bought a playstation 2 and they had such a variety of games that we could choose from and they were fairly cheap. The over all atmosphere was like walking into nostalgia city.

Both locations have a wide selection of games and they occasionally have pokemon games which I constantly look for, for nostalgia. I highly recommend if you are looking for older games and potentially some new ones I have seen a variety of both.

If I could give this score a 10/5, I would without a doubt give it to this store. The first day I went to this store was about 3 years, the day after it opened. Ever since then, I have developed a friendly relationship with the manager, Mike. He's a great guy, extremely knowledgeable (and truthful) about the quality of video games and has helped me pick some great games in the past three years. The store itself sells movies, toys, but their main product seems to be video games. They have a selection of games from virtually every video game system that's ever come out. I would HIGHLY recommend any person looking for a knowledgeable, friendly staff of people selling video games and other products at GREAT prices, go to Doc's!!!

Helpful folks and a great selection. We found Atari, Sega, Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation and more. Full size arcade consoles, games for every handheld and console you could think of. Prices are reasonable to great. All in all a great place that I will come back to when I am in Denver!

I recently visited Doc's a few times in the past week and I've always had great service. Prices have been fair. I traded in a bunch of old XBOX accessories I didn't use anymore and they gave me an extremely fair trade in credit for it. One of the Nintendo games I purchased didn't work and they happily traded it for another one which worked perfectly.

I would much rather go to Doc's and physically pick up my games than order from ebay/amazon. It's nice to see there's still respectable people a company locally that appreciate the classic games and systems. The staff is knowledgeable and have actually played most of the games that I've picked up.

I absolutely recommend Doc's over any of the online stores or any of the other stores locally.

I went to the original Doc's store this weekend looking for Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Not only did they have several copies, they also had a minty Prima strategy guide for the game. I asked the gentleman behind the counter to see if they had a nice black label copy. The black label copy had a beat up jewel case so he let me swap it out with one of the greatest hits jewel cases in nicer condition. The overall experience was very pleasant. This is not my first trip into Doc's, and it won't be my last.

To the guy complaining about prices below, of course Doc's prices aren't going to be as good as eBay/Amazon. Doc's is a physical brick and mortar store with employees to pay, rent/lease on the building, and utility/electric bills. However, there is something to be said for having the privilege of actually picking up, feeling, and examining merchandise before you purchase it - something you definitely can't do with online retailers. There are no shipping fees, and no risk of your purchase being improperly described. Every little nick, tear, smudge or crack will be examined with your own eyes.

For me, I would say the best thing about the place is a) friendly staff b) huge selection.

If I had to pick a con it would be that they don't have many top-shelf/top-tier/super expensive games. A high end collector can still have fun here, but he/she probably isn't going to find something super rare, either.

"Doc's" is a very appropriate name for this retro game store. I take my old scratched PS1 games there to get them buffed for a low fee of 3 dollars. That's a great service for a collector or anyone that likes retro gaming.

I have been playing games ever since the day I first received a Gameboy Advance. There is almost no where that I can go anymore to buy any games older than the Nintendo DS. If anyone is looking for an Excellent place to purchase any game for almost any system. Doc's Video Games is the perfect place. Everyone I have ever met and talked to in their store has been outstanding. This is now the only store that I will go to to purchase any of my games or any new system that I want to buy. Their prices are fair, by far better than the big chain competitors such as Gamestop, and as I mentioned before, all the people that work there are extremely friendly, and will always help. The past two reviews are not at all anything like what I have ever experienced at Doc's, to anyone who is reading this review before going to Doc's, give it a chance, this is the absolute best game store that I have ever been in. I have made over 12 purchases from the store in the past 6 months, and honestly, I don't see myself ever going back to another chain store for any of my gaming needs. Their returns policy is outstanding, although I have never had the need to return any of the Games or Systems that I have received. Thank you to everyone at Doc's Video Games for keeping such an excellent store! You have gained another shopper for life!

This place is amazing! I would rather get my games here than at game stop. They have great prices, great games, and amazing options! I bought a game that should have cost me 59.99 elsewhere, but I got it for 24.00! I chose the more expensive one that is.

Amazing selection of both movies and games, awesome customer service, good prices and trade in values.

Been burned too many times buying things on the internet that weren't in working condition and to say it's a hassle to return them it is an understatement. Doc's keeps their products in great condition and if for some reason it doesn't work they will make it right.

Great video game store with plenty of systems, games, DVDs, and Blu-Rays to choose from. There's a strong selection of retro items as well as collectible toys and models, and the staff is super friendly. The tournaments are a huge plus too!
