Hy-Vee Grocery Store

Omg grocery Extravaganza! There's no hy-vee where I'm from and I think it's the biggest grocery store I've ever been in. With several different types of hot food a full service deli bakery and butcher. It's massive!

Decided it was worth driving the 30 miles to escape the stranglehold Walmart has on my sleep little town and it was SO WORTH IT! To see fresh meat being ground or cut to order, a bakery that did more than just unfreeze products and "bake" them! And they had FOUR different brands of dark rye/pumpernickel bread🍞 (our Walmart stopped baking it and/or selling it for the last 3 months and we wanted to have g-da#ned rueben sandwiches. Now we laugh when we do our infrequent trips to the corporate Walmart and their hyper-processed meats and sponsor driven product offerings. We know where we can shop like in the good old days. HyVee.

This is about the best Grocery Store / Supermarket that I have ever been to and believe me, I know the grocery store business! I love all the different departments and all the choices within each development! My compliment to the staff and management!!

Stopped here for a few specific items while visiting in the area. Delighted to find small containers of fresh fruit in the deli, as well as Panera Bread soups. Perfect for what we needed for a light meal.

Customer service person was also helpful in exchanging quarters for my dollar bills due to a laundry emergency.

I may have walked a mile inside the store, looking for everything but as always a store was clean as could be the shells were in good shape, and the staff was always ready to help if you need anyting. I ended up taking home to tenderloin sandwiches also because it was getting late in the afternoon, I brought them home and 93 year old mother and I enjoyed him very much.

This store in St. Joseph, MO. Great grocery store, wish we had them in the Tulsa area. Great produce, a small eating area. Shelves well stocked.

Excellent, you can actually trust them with a grocery pick up order! Everything was fresh, they are friendly!

We love this store! The selection and quality of items available there (at most of their stores!) is so much better than what we can get at home. We always try and stop in when we are traveling and it never disappoints. Also, there are Tesla superchargers in the parking lot at this location.

I just ordered a cake for my roommate's birthday and picked up this beauty. Wait to go on the bakery! They've really out find their selves with this amazing cake, it's exactly what I wanted but even more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Not only that, I got the most amazing, fast service with the biggest smiles and when I went to pick up the cake? Not only was it fresh, I was greeted by the most energetic and friendliest faces asking about my day. If you need a cheap cake with beautiful people and equally beautiful personalities with off the charts service? Go to Hy-Vee. They even included an inside joke from Wakfu, a show we both like, for me and all of this even with some accomodations was only $18 and I had it rushed. They're really great and it was really yummy.

Typical HyVee, terrific. Very surprised the bakery didn't make bagels. Apparently the people of St. Joseph don't care for them.

The store is well organized and everything you need for meals is on the shelves ready to pick up and purchase. Love the bakery!

Very nice clean grocery store with just about everything you need! They also have fantastic parking options for those who have served which is very awesome! They have great ready to eat food and good options for taking them home and cooking them! Will visit again next time I am in St Joseph (or anywhere that has a HyVee and I need something!

I ordered a quarter sheet cake from the bakery, and the process and product was great! The worker behind the counter made ordering in person a quick and easy process. I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Pick up was also a breeze, and the cake was delicious as always. Everyone loved it!
