Motel 6 Saint Joseph, MO

This was perfect for our needs. The rooms are worn and basic but I saw two rooms and both were very clean. The first I couldn’t stay in because it had obviously been smoked in. They changed us to a different room with no problem. The beds were soft, all was quiet and we slept well. I did not see any evidence of bugs. Water was hot for showers. I spoke with three different employees and they were all awesome. I would stay here again.

Check in to my room. Looked clean. Came back later in the day to put my luggage in the room. Room full of flies. Had to start killing flies with a towel.
Bathroom smells like a porta pot.
Woke up to bugs crawling up the walls.
Was booked for 2 nights. Asked for fresh towels.. out of towels.
Holes in the walls.
I have stayed here in previous years. This is the worst.
Place needs to be condemned.
The manager is doing her best. The owners need to stay at the place.
I will not be back.
I will pay more for a cleaner place. Bug free

You really get what you pay for here it's not the Ritz and could definitely use a little work.
My room was without a mini fridge and microwave but it was decent for 1 nights stay.
Staff was friendly and the property was pretty quite during the night so we slept great.

Only reason I give it 5 ⭐ is because of Jenny. She was amazing! I arrived late at night, just moving back to St Joseph, and they were pretty booked. I had an online reservation the night before that she honored that morning. Her customer service was stellar!!
I'm not certain if it was the last run they decided to update, but it was a mess. Not house keeping wise, I mean floor boards coming up, paint not finished offer peeking from the ceiling in the bathroom, can't tell which. Both the front and bathroom doors were split and cracking and wedged us in, having to linebacker our way out. I was exhausted and grateful for a clean bed and a warm shower, that and Jenny, were the only reason for a 5 ⭐ and not a 2!!

Friendly, clean and close to everything. Weekly rate was pretty good too. Book it online at the motel 6 website.

Was here 5 days ago (jade420lyfe) but this time we got a sweet deal and Rachel behind the counter is one of the best hotel managers/owners. She was very nice and helped us get a room for two nights that fit our wallets lol. Got a good room nice big TV, the bed closest to the toilet could be changed as it's sinking in the middle. All in all definitely worth getting a room here. For 156$ and some change a few nights can't beat the price. Thanks again! From jade and the boys

My stay Was excellent. Upon first arriving at the hotel walking into the office it was very presentable clean and I was greeted by young gentleman with the huge smile. His customer service skills are excellent! There isn’t anyone else that could have represented the hotel better. He conducted himself with dignity and respect. Sheets were clean and there was a slight smell of bleach when I walked into the room. Which for any hotel/motel is definitely a big relief. However I noticed when getting into the room my door handle seemed alittle shifty and felt loose almost as if itd open with enough effort. Called the office and they sent maintenance (tall guy) he got there almost right away and replaced something in it and had it working fine. Stayed several days with no new issues with it and also had great recommendations for local places to eat. He was also the same guy who helped me get my bags into the room earlier. I just didnt know he worked there at the time. All staff seemed friendly and sincere . There is no pool but theres a Pokémon gym there. Forgot to lock my car a couple nights and still had it in the morning

Clinton at the front desk has the best customer service. My room is cleaned and huge....He was friendly and worked my room out for me. Every time I'm in town, I will come to this hotel. Thank you so much Clinton for an awesome service!!!

Truck in the shop and this was recommended by the shop. Excellent price, clean room, microwave and fridge. Desk clerk Tasha was amazing. The entire staff friendly and eager to accommodate. 1 problem. I believe the bathroom may be haunted. Nothing bad. Just at night when I went into the bathroom it smelled as if someone had been in there smoking cigarettes. Wasn't like that during the day or evening. If the need arises this will be my go to place. Somewhat limited TV.

I stayed at Motel 6 in St Joseph, MO. It was wonderful! They let us have our dogs there, the staff was so polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our travels to dogs shows. Thank you Motel 6!!!

Motel 6 is by far a good place to stay it's in my budget and the rooms and the bed are always made right and it's definitely a lot quieter then what it used to be 5 years ago

As per usual the team here is awesome, my room was great, quiet, and room was clean, I come here every two weeks and each time I come the front desk staff is very accommodating. They are always willing to work with my room, when I want a room on the Highway side to hear the highway, is relaxing or a smoking room but those are limited, Tay the GM is great and Carrie is very knowledgeable of the guest of the property they do a great job with the locals and managing the property.

The front desk lady Rachel was absolutely amazing she was very calm and collected. She was very professional supper helpful. I will definitely come back to see her. She made was very nice. Great HOSPITALITY.

We only needed a place to stay for two nights so we were okay with the no-frills room. The a/c worked really well and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't experience very much outside type noise. I will say that the parking lot needs to be fixed but with all the wet weather, we understand!

Very nice rooms. One employee in particular was amazing. Always helpful always smiling and ready to do whatever is needed to help the Motel 6 customers. Super dependable when it comes to wake up calls and makes sure your up. Micheal is a great addition to the staff at this motel.

There is a lot of good changes going on. the front staff have been very accommodating and friendly. If there was something wrong with the room Trey would make sure that it was fixed or properly dealt with. I have stayed here quite a bit and I can definitely see the changes that are going on.

Great customer service!! Willing to. Make my extended stay comfortable and hassle free! Carrie made sure my room was nice and clean and ready for my stay! I would highly recommend this motel 6!!!
