Food Lion

This is my favorite local food lion! I always have a good experience at checkout even during their busiest hours of the day. The cashiers are all very friendly and courteous. The store itself is usually very clean and well organized. Their produce section is very limited, especially their salads. However, for the most part, the produce is fresh.

We came here (late July 25) for a last minute gift card purchase that turned into a longer situation than planned (no one’s fault). I should have gotten names but all the employees there were so cheerful, entertaining and truly concerned that our situation was taken care of. Even when it was at closing time, they all had smiles and kept checking on us. I really appreciate their amazing personalities and how well they all worked together and were having fun. Late night grocery shopping has never been my thing, but I may make a habit out of it now! Cashier 0205, she was fabulous, and the other gentleman working with her both deserve 100 gold stars!

The customer service at this store is AMAZING!! I had my 2 yr old granddaughter with me. As we were checking out it started pouring rain. Our very sweet cashier got an umbrella and walked us out to the car, kept my granddaughter dry as I threw our groceries in the car and put her in her car seat. That is customer service above and beyond!!

Such a great bright, clean, well stocked and organized store! Stocking clerks were super helpful and very friendly! Very respectful, which can be rare these days. Cashier was also super friendly. Not afraid to carry-on a regular conversation with us! Decent prices too! Making this our regular store going forward!

My fave current grocery store to come to. Constant sales, decent prices, friendly employees only downside? There are times when registers get a little congested other than that solid place

I made this store my number one now..prices are better than Krogers and it has clean shelves, very organized and easy to find what your looking for and when you can’t find it there’s a young man that always have the right answers and is so polite, offers help without you asking. But I’ve noticed every time I come to shop, he’s the main one stalking the shelves. I believe this young man needs a promotion!!!. He knows his stuff! Cashiers are helpful as well and they send you out with a smile. 😊

Never shopped Food Lion in Richmond Hill because it was located in the opposite direction. But the store located on Okatie, S.C. is comparable to Publics.

Nice a clean store, you can find almost everything, staff is very pleasant.

This Food Lion grocery store has fully stocked shelves, friendly and helpful employees, a clean store, and most importantly they have employees that enjoyed working. In particular, one of the clerks was busy stocking items, and noticed that I was looking for an item that was behind his pallet. Without hesitation, he asked me what I was looking for and moved his pallet and happily placed the item in my cart. An example of customer service at its best! This store also had an "express" checkout line that actually functioned as described. The lines were a little longer than anticipated (due to a fast approaching storm). It was obvious that the management staff provided their employees with the training needed to handle an unexpected influx of customers. It has been a long time that I actually enjoyed grocery shopping. Thanks to the management staff and employees who clearly understand the importance of exceeding customer service.

We were traveling and came across this store. Young man was a cashier. He was very helpful. And nice personality.

I had not been to this Food Lion in quite some time because it just wasn't that great. I had to stop and grab just a couple of things on my way home, and figured it would be fine for just that. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have completely remodeled the store. It is very clean, well organized, the produce was fresh and beautiful and they had the coffee creamer that I have a hard time finding and isn't carried by Kroger. I saw a great selection of good looking meats and poultry, a nice selection of cheeses, and they now have a very nice craft beer section. I was very impressed with how the store looks now and the variety of products offered compared to my last visit. I will definitely be making Food Lion part of my routine shopping now.

This is a nice clean store. They have a fairly large selection of items so you are likely to find what you are looking for here. The employees are all friendly and very helpful. I divide my food dollars between the RH Food Lion and the RH Kroger. The only thing I wish this Food Lion had is a self-check out lane. I hate standing in line. When I shop, I usually buy 5-7 items tops, so I like to get in and out as quickly as I can. This store also takes mobile payments like Apple Pay which is a huge convenience. I seldom carry a physical wallet anymore. 👍

I used to be critical of food lion because it wasn't as well versed as some of the other grocery store chains. Lately though their prices have been better than Kroger, friendlier staff, and shorter wait periods. The meat select is usually pretty decent but definitely could expand some. The cereal isle needs a few more choices but still I've found that the ending total to amount of food has been better than most and add in they give you cash credit when you spend in a dept. to a set total. Like 50$ in the meat dept will earn you 5$ credit, and I consistently get 15$ credits everytime I go that gets knocked of the next shopping trip. It adds up and helps.

Staff is soo nice. I hope they get shown a lot of love and appreciation from the bosses/leads! It’s really hard to find a good team of workers and they have it! God bless always.

I am from Louisiana and am in Savannah for a visit. While here I decided to stop in for a snack. I love this store. And I also love the fact they allow the boy scouts to sell popcorn outside of the store. Great way to support the local community.
