Food Town

I go to Food Town serval times a week. There are bigger stores near me but I love this smaller place. It has what I need and you can find some great deals as well. I love the fact that they have sackers. The staff is always friendly and helpful too me. They have an actual butcher as well so the variety of meat is pretty good. You will find a lot of cuts you don't see everywhere else. I also love supporting a smaller business that hires a lot of locals

on Sept. 16, 1989,Soviet politician, later Russian president Boris Yeltsin wanted to catch a glimpse of everyday American life. So, during his visit to NASA, he asked to check out a local grocery store so he visited this grocery store Randall's (now a Food Town) in his autobiography he remarked that it " shattered his view of communism"

I shop here after visit to space center. So much food! So I bought as much as I could. I remember when this was a Randall's.

I was amazed and impressed at the quality of products at the store. There are many Hispanic spices that everybody uses in small cellophane packages for a quarter of the price you'd pay for a glass jar at some big box grocery store.

I also felt they had a decent meat department, with many cuts much cheaper than Kroger or other similar stores. I think I'm going to make this my go to store in the future. Everything was probably about 10 cents less than what I normally pay and they had a large number of local brands I haven't seen in other places.

Food town is a good place to buy groceries, the prices are competitive and the food quality is good. They have various products.

I really enjoy shopping at Food Town. Items are easy to find, prices are comparable, if not lower, than other grocery stores and the employees are super nice. It seems that Edward M. is always there cause whenever I have shopped he has been my cashier. The employees that bag the groceries are nice and cheerful. Especially the older African American gentleman - i enjoy his sense of humor.

Great place if shopping on a budget. If you're willing to go early (near the time they open) you can usually find some sort of meat that the price has been marked down. Their International selection has been growing, on top of an already large quantity of Mexican style ingredients. They also have an app that can, after spending a certain amount in store, will automatically give you $5 discount on your purchase. As well as a Sunday and Weekly Deal that will net you something for free. Lastly they have a rather decent selection of Sodas.

Food Town is my go to place for groceries. I appreciate the sore, its items, and it's service. I don't shop anywhere else. Go there everyone.

Love this store! I don't live as close as I used to but I stop in when I have an opportunity. There are things I can only find here and the prices are great! The employees are always so friendly and the store is super clean. If you want a nice selection and variety of produce, meat and shelf items check them out!

Good place to shop deals

The store is always clean. The employees are always nice especially Rebecca. She's always cheerful. They usually have some pretty good deals. It's close to where I stay. Just gotta check it out for yourself.

Although not the original Randall's, this is the store that the soviet leader Boris Yeltsin visited in 1989 which convinced him that freedom of markets generates and distributes wealth in a much better way than communism. Thus, it deserves 5 stars. I wonder if I will able to visit it personally one day.

Lucky find for me in my new neighborhood. Gorgeous produce, good sized house-cut chicken pieces, reasonable prices... I'm going to be Food Town's newest regular!

I enjoy shopping at Food Town. I love the prices as well as quantity of products. I have been shopping here for several years. I have shopped early in morning and lunchtime before going to work. My only problem is now since retirement and I live in Galveston it's hard to shop here as much as I did. I wished there was a store located closer or in Galveston.

Nice store. Great employees. I have a feeling they hire a lot of homeless and x cons as a way of giving back. It's an older store and a little run down and dirty but I enjoy shopping there. It reminds me of the way grocery stores were back in the mid 60s.

Fun fact:. Boris Yeltsin visited this place in 1989, and it kind of broke his brain. The selection and quality were far better than what he had at home. This store likely led to the fall of the Soviet Union.

My husband is able to find stuff here that is no longer available at the main grocery stores

Nice, clean store with shelves appealingly and fully stocked. Aisles were clear and it was easy to get around. Saw some cool items priced inexpensively.
