Alternate Universes Holmes

I frequent this place weekly. Every time I have come here, I have had a good experience. I'm usually here for commander Tuesday and Friday. Tyler has helped me figure out my decks, and has remained friendly and helpful through all my questions, even the dumb ones. The other employees haven't introduced themselves to me, but they have all been kind in helping me.

I'm here two to three times a week. The store is a friendly environment that does many events. Tyler is awesome, and the Tuesday and Friday commander nights make my week.

I have never had a bad experience at any AU location; in fact, I've never had anything less than a stellar experience. Staff is reasonably knowledgeable about product staff and community are incredibly friendly and helpful, product selection is off the charts, prices are incredibly reasonable and even some great deals, and the owner is a fun guy to talk to, super helpful himself, and really embodies everything else good I've already said about the store. Can't wait to pop out to a commander night at the blue bell location. I have driven an hour multiple times to make it to an AU instead of just ordering my singles and packs online because the experience is that great.

As a girl, I hate going into game shops because a lot of times I feel like the employees talk down to me. I did not get that vibe here at all. I traded in a ton of a Pokémon bulk and bought some cards and the guys working were super friendly. Very chill vibe, decent inventory, and their prices aren’t bad at all. I’ll definitely go back if I’m in the area again!

Really awesome experience! The staff was friendly and had a wide selection of YuGiOh products with great pricing near market value if not less. First time here and travelled over 50 miles and was not disappointed! CHECK THEM OUT!!!

I think the guys name was Tyler, very knowledgeable and patient. We asked a ton of questions and took up alot of his time, and he didn't seem distraught in the slightest, we ended spending $300, so I guess everyone was happy.

Stopped in on a Saturday to ask questions about collecting cards (which I know nothing about). The young man who helped me was very patient and very helpful, answered all my ignorant questions without ever making me feel ridiculous.

The store seems to specialize in trading cards like Magic, Pokemon, and Yugioh. It's clean and tidy, not cramped, and there is a large section in the back set up with tables where people were playing card games in a friendly tournament. A very nice space!

Impressed with the open layout and the courteous staff. I can't speak to the quality or variety of selections for sale because I am not knowledgeable about those things and have no frame of reference. But from this beginner's perspective, I recommend this store enthusiastically!

This is a great LGS! They have a comprehensive selection of D&D minis and tons of Magic cards, sealed and singles. Their prices are always fair. Also, Warhammer, Citadel paints, Yugioh, and Pokemon can be found. Don't forget card sleeves. They have those too.

This place is AWESOME! Best place to buy Magic the Gathering singles. They are well stocked with all the cards you're looking for. They also have a wider selection of EDH singles that other stores dont have. Pre-Corona I spend hours in this store playing, trading, and making new friends. It's a shame what is going on in the world today but I am always hopeful that we will be back to normal playing before we know it. I'm expecting you to all have new and improved decks!

Post-Corona, I have been there twice. Once to buy sleeves and another to preorder the Double Masters box. Alternate Universes has been doing a great job at making sure customers are safe and happy during these troubling times. A feat not accomplished by other stores I've been to recently!

Staff is great, I go here almost week. Fnm gets a good turnout. Lots of mtg singles, booster packs, boxes, etc cetera. Wide range of products. Beats the hell out of any competition nearby, other stores nearby have rude staff, high prices (alt u keeps it at market value), and lower selection in singles and boosters. Almost always have everything standard in stock.

Good card case selection between YGO and MTG. Plenty of things going on.

I lost my bag with roughly 200USD of Magic cards there two days ago after buying some cards on my credit card. When I came back today, they had it behind the counter with my name on it, untouched. They must have put a name to a bag since I bought cards there (even though I visit very infrequently). Just had to show my driver's license.

I think that anecdote shows what kind of store and community that is.

Frankly one of the best places to buy cards, everyone is friendly, Pat in particular is a cool dude, can't wait for things to be normal so I can go back to playing with friends here, but for now just getting my supplies to play MtG is enough.

Nice staff. Very helpful, informative and knowledgeable. Pretty good selection and nice layout of store. Haven't been to any events yet but there always seems to be plenty of people in there so I'm sure they're set up well.

Good local card shop. Great for magic prereleases, Friday night magic has a good showing for standard, not as good for modern. Fairly decent singles selection, not super extensive, but has plenty of cards for every format.

As a regular I really enjoy my time at Alternate Universes. The Yu-Gi-Oh and MTG community is tight-nit and you will make great friends here for your hobby. They also have good stock of board games and nerdy memorabilia.

Love coming here for their game nights! Lots of tables set up, plenty of space, and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Good variety of games, plushies, cards, and accessories too. Will definitely be returning!

Cannot emphasis how awesome Justin is. I’m not sure who the owner is, but you have an amazing employee. Super friendly, gave us first class service, and was fun to talk to. Wish I lived closer , because I would be droppin mad stacks. It was our second time at this location, and he was just as friendly. Would definitely recommend to a friend, 5/5 service.
