Store has had health hazards, mostly rats, well documented online, but offers quality products at low prices.
The staff can be hit or miss, but they're generally willing to help. Bring your own bags.

Was one of my Favorite Locations to get Groceries. I would stop an taken picture of the nice buildings from the parking lot. Things have changed. Acme took over and it looks nice in there but everybody seem to limit their amount of shopping load. The prices were not reasonable. And I had to pay $4 for parking after putting in my parking voucher.. No Sir! I grew up in the 80s shopping at Acme. I could walk home carrying groceries that would feed a house of 7. Econo Line brand.. I quickly went back to Aldis for savings even though Acme had the esthetics on another level.. My $50 went far up the road. Acme.. please change.. I get it.. Supply and demand at that location but your hurting the brand when people don't have to put up with prices. Almond milk is $1.79 at Aldis.. itnwas like double at your store. I write this out of concern.

Very large store, clean and organized, made it easy to make a quick stop (while traveling through) and grab all the supplies and snacks needed.

I 💘 shopping at acme from fresh meats 🍖 prodos vegetables and fruits..also dairy products milk cheese and others products..soda juice and others beverages fresh deli sandwiches hoagie. .cook and fresh seafood also fresh bread 🍞 cakes and donut 🍩 from ur spices herbs 🌿 and cooking oils 🛢 from household products...also good deals on coupons far as savings u money 💰

This market replaced the former Fresh Grocer. I love it here. It's bright, spacious and the variety of food and deals you get is great. The meats and breads are always fresh. I love their meat deals; they have a section 4 for $20 where you can literally get 4 packs of meat for $20. I get my steak, pork chops, fresh shrimp, seasoned chicken etc., from here especially if you are on a budget until you do the REAL food shopping, this is perfect. They have a decent wine, cooler and beer section and they also have a Starbucks! The only drawback i would say about this place would be the self-checkout. There is some confusion about where the line ends and starts and whoever directs it doesn't always do a great job at making a distinction which can cause confusion and make you get in the long behind regular line, but hey, can't have it all.

It's in a good location. For being a smaller store they have used the space well to fit a good selection of products in.

Great selection of meats, vegetables, fruits, soft alcohol, and anything you can really need. It's always bright, clean, and well-organized. 95% of the employee encounters I've had have been pleasant and helpful.

Excellent customer service by the lady in the cooked food department (12-5-2021/4pm) with the black face mask. Professional, polite, friendly and very helpful. Thanked me and said come again. I definitely will return because of her.

Clean, well stocked and short distanced from our home. Would be lovely if the hours were increased though to 24/7 hours of shopping.

THEY NEED TO DO BETTER WITH STOCKING!!! FREQUENTLY A LOT OF SHELVES ARE EMPTY. THIS MORNING... FROZEN FOOD... BREAKFAST SECTION....EMPTY! Worker was stocking but not with any speed!!!
Great improvement over the fresh grocer that was there. It's more of a compact Acme... Has everything, just lesser quantities. Great beer and wine selection although more expensive.
Very clean up well organized, helpful staff.

I have to get used to the layout. But it was a nice, no fuss experience. I needed a dry red wine as well as wheat flour. I was delighted to find a selection of vegan ice cream. The vegan cheese wasn't well stocked, but it could've been the day that I shopped on. I'll be back.

Wow! Since the last time I was in the neighborhood and this store, the place has changed--and for the better! I'm not sure why Acme bought out this Fresh Grocer, but I'm glad they did.

First, this Acme has an older, more mature staff who knows how to handle the store flow and customers. Secondly, they renovated the floor design to a far brighter and more organized place. Yeah, the aisles are still small, but that's due more to the limitations of inheriting a space than the poor planning of it. Acme did a great job with what they got-- and I *love* it!!

My acme experience was great (more items needed on shelves and frozen items were very low) but my shopping experience here has always been that I can always get the foods I need.. I enjoy shopping at acme for over 10 years..they have various location's very convenient to my home, also store lines can get very crowded but Im usually in and out with no problem..I will continue to shop at ACME.

I love the new Acme location at 40 Walnut Street. Convenient location. Clean and employees are friendly and courteous. Should carry some vegan 🌱 products. Special Edition of Barvarian pretzels 🥨 are no longer in stock. Very disappointed. Starbucks is a great addition to the store. Parking should be free to shoppers if you spend at least $10.00. The area is not suitable if your doing a large quantity of groceries.

I don't normally shop at Acme due to their price points often being exorbitant, but this new one is well stocked and lit with friendly customer service people. The aisles are easy to navigate and you can usually find stuff quickly and without hassle.

It's Acme Supermarket it has food you can purchase duh!!!!! The sushi is good. A bit pricer than most because of the location plus if you go to Penn university you have money. so they charge a bit higher in the prices plus inflations so be prepared to pay.

The best deal and fresh produce!! There is nothing I don not like in this places. I’m not going to compare it with other markets, just cuz no one so far beat the quality. I only wish they had Halal chicken and beef.. I mean of they had that I’ll be more than glad!

12/7/22 UPDATE: they now have disposable bags for $0.99. This is wonderful because I hate those paper bags with no handles. And they finally got the mango habanero sauce back for the chicken. You have to try this chicken, whether you get the baked or the mango habanero.

This is a small location, but they have a large variety of items in stock. The store is always clean and the food is always fresh.
7/8/22-I went back today and I really need Acme to keep disposable bags in stock for times when people forget their reusable bags.

Such fresh veggies! Very nicely price too. Cashier was very kind and happy to be at work. Great shopping trip!

Had to pick up last minute items for the superbowl. Great service at the deli counter, hoagies were very good and fresh. Picked up some bakery items too, the carrot and red velvet cake was delicious. Prices are very affordable.
