We were on our way out of Alamogordo, on our way to Roswell, when we stopped at this cool pistachio farm.
We didn’t have a chance to take a tour, but if we are ever in the area, we definitely will.
Inside the shop, they offer wine tasting and a variety of favored pistachios. They even have free samples of each flavor before making your choice.
We purchased the cocoa flavored and the lemon flavored pistachio.
Then, of course, we had our picture taken in front of the giant pistachio.
We definitely recommend stopping!
Bonus: They support veterans and offer a discount.

Such a fun experience! Even if they tout themselves as the place with the “world’s largest pistachio,” it’s so much more than just a quirky roadside attraction. PistachioLand is a full-fledged pistachio farm and winery, with tours, ice cream/snacks, wine tasting, and a giant retail store. Definitely take the tour - it’s just a few bucks and so worth it to learn the history and process behind the farming operation. Our tour guide Emilio was absolutely amazing - energetic, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about pistachios! He answered all our questions and knew his stuff! The ice cream, wine, and massive selection of flavored pistachios was top notch.

Fantastic experience as my daughter stopped in on a whim after searching for things to do. Simply driving through, we couldn't stay long, but the atmosphere, staff, and gift shop were wonderful. It's definitely worth the effort and STOP!

Awesome place to visit. You can tour the farm and sample different flavors of pistachios, do free wine tastings and the homemade pistachio ice cream is the absolute best!!! And Emilio was the best guide. He even gave us a great suggestion for dinner in Alamo for my birthday!

This was one of our roadside stops along our cross country road trip. Total tourist trap, and I loved every second of it. Didn't have time for the tour, but will definitely try to catch the tour if we come back to the area. The pistachios, and everything they make with them are absolutely fantastic. The staff are super helpful. Is a great place to get out of the car and stretch your legs for a while. I will say, we left with about 8 bags of pistachios, of all sorts of flavors!

Loved this stop on our way through New Mexico! They are dog friendly so we took our dog in the shop and everyone was so nice! We spent way too much money but loved everything they offered!

This place is awesome. They have a huge variety of pistachios. I didn’t go on their farm tour but one thing I will definitely recommend is the homemade ice cream. That was the best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. Even if you don’t like pistachio ice cream, you should try it.

My Experience was made awesome by Matthew!! He did our wine tasting and sold us 4 bottles. He answered all our questions and was just had such a great time! He was funny, polite, and knew every wine sold inside and out...even had stories to tell about how the wines got their names and how they were made. 5/5 stars! I will be coming back!

As we entered, the staff welcomed us in with a friendly hello. I loved the pistachio tasting area as it allowed me to decide on the best pistachio for me. We took the tour of the farm with James. He was very friendly and informative. I love to learn and I learned so much from the tour with James. We enjoyed our visit.

This place was awesome! We took pictures with the largest pistachio, ate all the free sample pistachio flavors in the store, took the tour (with the best and most informative tour guide, Matthew!), and came back later in the day to try their homemade pistachio ice cream— which was delicious! We did end up coming home with ranch and honey garlic roasted pistachios. They also had wine that you could sample and buy, but we did not partake, as we are not wine drinkers.

Totally worth the drive spent way too much money, but was happy to do so seem like a really down to earth place
I bought the mustachio ice cream, but I didn’t like it. Lol.

Really fun road trip stop. GREAT homemade pistachio ice cream sundae with pistachios on top. Also they have a variety of ice cream and icee type of products. There is also a really large fun gift shop. You can try free samples of their flavored pistachios before buying one. They also have a winery now but didn’t get to try it. Their wine customer service looked great.

I've never seen a pistachio farm, until now. We took the tour with Matt and it was great. Matt is energetic and gets you to participate. The tour was very interesting and got to learn a lot about the history of the farm.
Also, you HAVE to try the HOMEADE pistachio ice cream, it was great.
The kids had a lot of fun playing in the rocks around the pistachio, it would be nice if they had a small play area for the toddlers.
Overall, we enjoyed the stop after and got multiple flavors of pistachios to enjoy.

Second time being here. Great place to stop. Homemade Pistachio Ice Cream is delicious! We took the tour, highly recommend. Very informative regarding both various wine grapes as well as the pistachio operation.

Only thing nuttier than the trees was our tour guide Emilio. He knows his nuts and grapes. We purchased tour tickets last minute and were the only 5 on the trolley and he was still 110% invested.

Went on a Sunday as I was driving through. This place sure gets busy with long lines. But once the tour started it cleared right up with most on the tour the store quieted right down and no more line. There are all flavors of pistachios to try and buy. Neat self-serve area for that. Lots of gifts and souvenirs. They also have wine tasting. You get to try 4. I liked White Sands. But they also have a pomegranate wine that's pretty good too. The best thing though is the pistachio ice cream. I think it's the best I've ever had. And a great photo opp with the gigantic pistachio out front is a must.

Had an amazing time. Did a little wine tasting and bought 2 bottles. Great selection and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Of course I bought pistachios too… and I got the ice cream just because….. but the ice cream was soooooo delicious that I had to buy some to take home. (On a road trip in an RV)
