A neighborhood favorite mini market with excellent deli sandwiches including the renowned Vietnamese Pork or Tofu Banh-Mi. Most basic grocery staples are in stock amongst the small isles.

BEST TOFÜ HOAGIE EVER! Only $6.50 and worth every penny. They’ve got a ton of other menu items.
Also they have many different products (noodles, ice cream, fruits fresh produce and fresh bread) and household essentials. Owners are also friendly. Really lovely overall and good prices too. will definitely come back!

I’ve always felt my favorite banh mi spots were in north and south Philly. Oh my I’ve found another amazing spot located in the cedar park neighborhood of west Philly. Order the classic with pate and extra mayo, something about their mayo sauce mix, with every bite it got better and better 🤤🤤

One of if not the best Banh Mi / Tofu hoagie in the city. Has been around a long time, over 15 years for me. Neighborhood staple and very friendly owner, family business. Many unique items I tried for the first time from this place. Cash only!

Great banh mis and snack selection. Saw the guy who works the counter smile once in 2023. It was beautiful.

Tofu > pork
I’ve had both but the tofu was so good I’ll keep getting that one
Love this store and it’s quirkiness

Fu Wah is just the best. They squeeze in an incredible selection of Asian groceries in a tight space and their tofu banh mi hoagie with everything on it is my favorite in the city. The staff here are super helpful and efficient. They are no longer cash only.

Neighborhood one-stop-shop for all your random pantry essentials and last minute ingredients… such as a lemon! Which I scurried over to fu-wah for the other night mid-potluck prep!!

Family fave, have been getting Bahn-Mi's & hoagies (they are not known for them - but they are great) from here for years now. They do run out of food early (well before their 7pm kitchen closing) on some days, so get there earlier for some of their more popular items.

Incredible tofu banh mi, so delicious and reasonably priced. The store itself is also really great and has a diverse range of products. Love this place!!!

Fu-Wah has been a personal favorite of mine for the past 7+ years. I almost always get the tofu banh mi. I'm Vietnamese-American so I like to think I have a decent idea of what good authentic banh mi should taste like and this spot is it. The braised tofu is seriously the best and they sell it separately in pints as well, so you can bring it home to eat with whatever you'd like.

They also have a good selection of other Asian food products here, like sauces and snacks, without having to go all the way to South Philly, so it's nice when you just need one or two specific things. A bit pricier than going to Washington Ave but you pay for the convenience and it's worth supporting a local "mom and pop," in my opinion.

The location is convenient via public transit and I also almost never have issues finding parking to pick up orders I call in over the phone in advance. They're quick too! The store is clean, small but never overly crowded, and the in-store ATM has never given me any issues (they're cash only!).

The quality hasn't gone down once since I first discovered Fu-Wah almost a decade ago. I try to take friends or family from out of town here when I can; it's always a solid choice!

Great sandwiches and decent prices, not much to complain about. We get sandwiches from here about every other week, they always have fresh ingredients. Our favorite is the pork banh-mi, but they also make a mean Italian. The only downside is that they are cash only, but it's not a big deal. They also have a number of specially + local brands that you don't often find elsewhere.

Fu Wah! Such a quality spot nestled right off Baltimore st. Their bahn mis are ridiculously fresh, prepared to order and priced well. After my first try I was hooked! My favorite is the roast pork bahn mi. They also have a great selection of specialty items that you won't find at your local grocery store. If you haven't checked them out yet, do it!

I dream about these Tofu Hoagies when I am not in Philly. The cash only hurdle is worth it. Best local convenience store is an understatement. The staff is friendly and helpful. They stock just enough necessities to be useful, and just enough curiosities to be an easy splurge to treat yourself.

If you want prepared food, the banh mi are amazing. I get the tofu every time and it's the best lunch i know for 4.50. Great selection of beverages and snacks too!

I'm not a vegetarian, but the tofu bahn mi is amazing. I think it's better than the pork, even though that doesn't seem like it should be possible.

If you thought this was just another corner store with a deli, think again. Two words: Tofu Hoagie. Even if you hate tofu, try this. Their secret family recipe will have you rethinking everything you thought you knew about tofu. And the chargrilled pork is a strong second. And they also have just about everything despite their small footprint. Veggies & fresh herbs. Awesome chocolate. Chips out the wazoo. Canned, boxed, & packaged everything. And all of it is delicious. Plus Dave is the nicest guy ever.
