Barnes & Noble

For me, there’s nothing quite as magical as entering a new bookstore. This location of B & N was such a delight to visit. I’m sharing a lot of photos; however, there’s still so much more. I enjoyed the time here browsing and selecting which books would come home with us. My favorite genres were beautifully stocked. It has a welcoming set up. Also, the employees were very helpful and kind. They actually seemed to want to help… refreshing. I also appreciated the diversity of the employees and customers on the store.
They don’t sell food/beverages and there isn’t a restroom. However, there is an absolutely yummy bakery a couple of doors down. There’s also plenty of parking and there is a bus stop not too far of a walk.

A little bit of everything for everyone! This new location is well stocked. The staff are so sweet and friendly. Feels like being a kid in a candy store.

I grew up a very short walk to the old Barnes and Noble in Hartsdale that was down Central Avenue and closed in 2007. Visiting that B&N as a kid always felt like a treat. As a kid in the 90s, that location was my go-to source for new Goosebumps books. Later adding a cafe, you could end up staying there for hours. It was a tranquil place on a busy street. The area has seen many vacancies since then, and a part of the area just doesn't feel as lively as it once way. Hearing the news that a new Barnes and Noble was coming to Hartsdale was exciting, and in my opinion, a needed addition to the area.

Once I heard they opened a few days ago, I headed over with my 5-year-old daughter to see how the new version is. Several months ago, I read an article that B&N was going to try a newer, smaller, more curated-for-the-local-community format, and that this location would be one of them. With this in mind, I was fully expecting what I walked into. The layout of the store and the available selection is purely subjective. There seems to be a lot of inventory, and it seems they've figured out a pretty efficient layout while not feeling too crammed or tight. Other then books, there is a large section dedicated to Vinyl records and 4K Blu Rays, which is good to know as most other major retailers recently announced they would no longer sell physical media discs. There was also a large childrens section, as well as sections for toys, puzzles, gifts, magazines, and more. There was no cafe, but there is a brand new french bakery right next store. The employees seemed nice. Overall, it was a fine experience. I ended up buying a few different items. A welcome addition to the area, and that shopping center seems have really leveled up over the past couple of years.

I loved the design of the new store in Hartsdale NY. It lead me to amble from one well-labeled section to the next and to eagerly recognize books I had in mind to buy. Staff throughout the store were friendly and very helpful. Tables of books on display were plentiful and engaging. I will return soon. As a person who is somewhat challenged by imbalance I do hope they add chairs around the store.

The store itself is certainly on the smaller side, but still offers a wide selection of products. Not to mention, the staff is fantastic! Jason was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I wasn't looking for any particular book title or author, but rather a certain genre to which he made several great suggestions (and ended up purchasing one of them). Great experience 👍

A new local Barnes and Noble with enthusiastic customer service. Every time I go in, I’m greeted with a smile. It feels like a maze you want to explore and get lost in.

As We have loved Barnes & Noble throughout the years, this store is fresh and clean and smells wonderful and has quite a selection of books and toys. There's no place to sit down. There's no place to eat. Barnes & Noble just wants us to go in and buy things and leave when in fact we've known Barnes & Noble to be more than just a place to buy books. It's supposed to be a neighborhood thing and a place to meet, greet, chat, and escape. What has happened? Well thank God there are others in the area that do have eateries and chairs. Hopefully, they have a nice bathroom but something tells me, they do not. Try it this holiday to get some things for the family.

Love a bookstore. There is a large selection of books in store and they will assist you if necessary. Quiet reading corners and comfortable chairs to sit and read .
