Cabbages and Kings Games

We visit Cabbages and Kings Games at least 2x a week. Everyone is great who works there and the other players are always kind. It really is a family friendly atmosphere! The game selection is beyond impressive! They even have a lot of them for you to demo play before purchasing.

We brought in a game we've been struggling to learn on our own, and the owner spent an hour with us teaching us how to play. We've always come here anytime we need to buy a game and will continue to do so!

Love playing d&d in the shop. They have multiple games a week and your character can play in any of them.

This was one of the encounters on Friday nights game. I might have been the cause of this.

The owners are super nice, the atmosphere is friendly, and if you have questions, everyone, even other customers, are very patient and will do everything they can to help and make suggestions!

The store is small but packed with great buys. Dan, the owner, is nice and always willing to help you get the right game for you or a gift. He's even pointed me to other stores if he's out of a product or it'll take awhile to order. Game nights at the store attract a welcoming and pretty judgement-free crowd. Worth checking out.

Nice little game store in Peoria Heights with games, cards, models and supplies. They sell snacks and drinks and have tables to play at.

I fully support this friendly game store. They do games, and that's all they do, so don't expect comics, cosplay, or other geeky goodness. Their occasional MTG tournament nights are packed, but they still manage to fit in other customers. There's even a local group of D&D Beyond players that use table space on the regular. All this combined with the other businesses (food and drink options very nearby) make this gem of a shop a must visit.

I would liken cabbages and kings to the Cheers of game stores. Dan, the owner, knows the name of just about every customer who has been a patron more than once. It is extremely welcoming to people of any background. Some could say a safe haven for any type of nerd you choose to be. This place is an absolute favorite of mine! If you like Magic the Gathering and you are in the Peoria area, this is the place to play

Amazing game store. Met up with my online dnd group here, the man behind the counter made great conversation and helped us pick out a game to play, and even came over to explain the rules and go over a practice round. Moved to Peoria from Florida. Found this game shop and it has been amazing. Owner is friendly and the community is great. My fiancée loves the selection of board games.

This place is absolutely 💯 the best. I have so many memories with my son coming to the store and talking to the very customer service friendly owner. Highly recommend.
