Legendary shop, trout to tarpon and a specialty for striped bass. I love walking in here and picking through the huge wall of tying materials! Incredible book selection and some DVDs which is great to see. High end rods - Scott, Echo, and others plus plenty of entry level stuff. Everyone behind the desk and register are very knowledgeable and wicked friendly. This is the gold standard for fly shops.

We loved Eldredge brothers! Great knowledge and selection. They helped us find books on beginner fly tying. Maya, the sweet shop dog, made sure everyone felt welcome

absolutely amazing customer service!! My husband is entirely new to fly fishing and jim went out of his way to guide him through all the basics. His store closes at 5pm but we ended up leaving at 45 minutes later. Very accommodating and very thoughtful!!!

This is a great shop. The young knowledgeable gentleman James I believe was extremely meticulous in explaining local fly choice for my particular waters. For a young man he was extremely devoted to his passion of fly fishing. This completed my trip to an already amazing shop. Will be coming back anytime I can.

Honestly one of the coolest fly shops in the area. I am new to the fly game and I talked to Jim for about an hour about leader material casting techniques and just swapping fish stories. Talk about friendly and just an absolute wealth of knowledge. Definitely recommend, I also bought my first setup here and they did not steer me wrong.

These 5 star reviews are here for a reason. Went to the shop yesterday not to buy anything, but simply to get advice/help on setting up my late Dad's Diamondback 9' rod & reel. Owner helped me set up the reel with leader, tippet, etc & explained proper use to me in detail. Took all the time needed with friendly conversation to boot! My highest compliments & respect for this tremendous human being/fly fishing enthusiast! Need fly stuff? GO HERE!!!

I cannot overstate how great this shop is! Jim was super helpful getting a new to New England fly fisherman (i.e., me) set up with everything to get on the striper bite. The quality of the products they carry (over 1000 trout patterns alone!) is only exceeded by the quality of the service and the genuinely excellent folks that work there. They've earned a customer for life!

Genuine and kind owner. The store is currently closed to foot traffic, so you can call ahead what you want or tell him when you get there what you want and he’ll bring it out to you. My boyfriend went there looking for a decent starter rod and reel and gave him a budget of what he wanted to spend, he came out with a nice set and some flies for $40 less than what he wanted to spend. He could have easily found him something over budget just to make a sale. We’ll definitely be going back. And have already recommended him to others.

This is the best fly shop I've ever been to. A special thank you to the gentleman who sold me a trout spey line today, and together we poured over a map of Maine and he helped my girlfriend and I plan out a 1.5 month fly fishing/camping trip through Maine! A special thank you to the longer haired older gentleman a few weeks ago who sold me a huge Pollack fly which helped me land the biggest striper of my life. As a man who loves fly fishing deeply, I sometimes become disappointed at the arrogance of some fly shops. If you aren't from their specific area, they treat you like less-than-thou and almost seem to resent you. The boys at Eldridge are different. They want you to have a great time on the river for brookies and salmon, the ledges and flats for Stripers... whatever it may be. Incredibly cool fly shop and they have an enormous breadth of knowledge both freshwater and saltwater.

Had a fly casting lesson with Jim and I learned so much! He was able to break down the cast for me to truly understand and helped me correct some bad habits I have learned over the years. Excited to keep practicing the tips and tricks he provided to get even better.

Great place to stop in and ask questions regarding all manner of fly fishing including two hand rods. Gear is expensive but the fly selection is comparable to that of the large box stores. Stop in for a couple flies and you might end up staying for a couple hours just chit-chatting with the workers.

Every year I come up to vacation this area and this is a must stop. From Pa and we have even ordered flies from them when we ran out. Knowledgeable staff, clean big shop and if you are a fisherman stop in.
