Wow, wow, wow! I'm so impressed with this market. Everyone we encountered was super friendly, butcher was very patient with me, everything looks so fresh, the place is decorated very cute, and the best part was the prices.
We purchased so much stuff, mostly meats and veggies, but tonight decided to make the ribeyes we bought. Goodness, the quality of this steak was top-notch! It was just melting in my mouth.
I'm so glad we found this place.

Detwilers is a destination! The adult Disneyland if you must. From the amazing customer service, the fresh produce, small business owned products, and dazzling customer service, Detwilers is your one stop shop for the kitchen.

I'll let you in on a few secrets. I think most people know that this grocer is amazing for the selection of meats, produce, sushi, and the bakery, but if you ever come in looking for shoo fly pie (an Amish molasses-based dessert), you may not see it sitting out among the other baked goods, but they will likely have it in stock in the back. You'll just have to ask at the bakery counter. Next, they sell exotic fruits like longan and pink AND yellow dragon fruit here. Detwiler's is the only grocery store where I've seen them in Florida so far. The next and last secret is their wonderful ice cream! It is such a good value that, if you know how much most creameries charge now, it will require a lot of willpower to say no as you pass by after checking out. People are usually kind and willing to offer you a seat with them at the 3 tables inside, next to the ice cream. I'm always willing to drive to this location instead of the smaller ones in Sarasota.

A very strong recommendation for the blueberry cheesecake, birthday cake, and cookie monster ice cream flavors! 🍪 Someone told me recently that their brisket sandwich from the hot foods bar is amazing!

They said they had fresh flounder shipped in from the Northeast for 8.99 a pound and it was delicious. I also tried the mahi-mahi, and that was amazing too. along with all the fresh vegetables and fruit you can eat everything has been perfect. Their prices are hard to beat for what you get

Today was our first time shopping here. Everything looks amazing! The store, including the restrooms, is very clean! We got quite a bit of things; foods, shower products, and toothpastes. Amazing samples of food too! The employees are super friendly! We really appreciate Manny's hospitality in bakery! We'll definitely be back! 😃

Definitely a great experience to shop here. Everything is super fresh and delicious with the best quality deli meats, baked goods and butcher. Lots of samples which resulted in more items ending up in our cart. On top of all that the prices are better than the supermarket.

I love shopping here! Everything is fresh and not overly priced. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends. They have fresh produce and meat. They also have delicious subs, soups, ice cream, and smoothies.

First time at a Detwiler's and wow!!! Saturday morning was a big crowd but some great deals and just their main departments were great. We walked in just wanting a few bakery item (best in town) and ended up spending $60.Prices are the best in town. Very fun store.

This is almost always a good time shopping. Lots of fresh food to see and chose. Prices are getting worse, like everywhere I guess. But still a fun time and I certainly would not say that about a grocery store. Almost always crowded so be prepared.

My wife and I travel a little over 5 hours from Monticello, FL to purchase from the Sarasota Universty Store seafood, meat and produce departments. The staff is always friendly and becomes familiar with you as a customer (like a hometown feel). The products are always fresh and reasonably priced. It's worth the drive.

Look, if farm fresh, at good prices, are your thing...THIS is simply the best place. Huge butcher counter, seafood counter, deli counter I mean it really is a fantastic place. All at very reasonable prices. Free samples are available too. We shop here weekly and buy everything we can from here.

Very nice, love the atmosphere and the fact that they support local businesses. The pizza is amazing and the doughnuts.

This location is large and has an incredible selection. Their friendly staff has always accommodated special requests.

Detwilers has the best quality meats, seafood, and produce around at amazing prices. They always have great weekly sales and I’m able to stock up the freezer several times a year with meat and seafood. Their deli makes great sandwiches and the ice cream is delicious.

They have name brand items you’re used to and their own brand which you cannot go wrong with. Being from the Philly area, it’s great to get items from Amish country back home like birch beer, kettle chips, and home style baked goods.

If you know, you know! This is my all-time favorite store to shop for groceries, especially fruits and veggies. They have such unique items! I've tried pink pineapple, rose applies, and yellow watermelon, to name a few! They have a massive deli, meats, and seafood counter.

Regular holiday specials on Crab Legs! Anywhere from $9.99-12.99lb, usually about $15.99lb when not a holiday.

Busy times are unusually the days/weekends. Right before they close (especially Mon-Thur), they are slower, so it's nicer to shop.

Must try their Soups and cream puffs!

This place is amazing! A friend introduced me to it and very glad they did. Fruits and vegetables are incredible. Amazing seafood counter. The meat counter is huge and absolutely some of the best I've ever purchased. When I am back home in Canada, I literally can't wait to go back. This is a destination market. I tell everyone they must go there. It's not close to where we are staying but worth the drive. Once you go here it is hard to shop anywhere else. I wish they had one in Toronto. Very large and busy but check out is very quick. Tons of fresh made on premises food that they give out generous free samples. The made to order subs are some of the best anywhere. Very generous and I mean generous amount of ingredients on the Sub for an extremely good price. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. Actually all their baked goods are homemade and tasty. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Get your butt to this market and you will be forever glad you did.

We had an awesome shopping experience here at Detwiler's Farm Market. This store is busy! Our service here was fast and super friendly. The store is clean and well-stocked. It was such a pleasure to sit on tables and chairs that were donated by Yoders in the Amish community. We enjoyed Acai Power Bowls with fresh fruit and hand-scooped ice cream as well as fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. 🍪 😋 They offer everything that you could possibly think of, including sushi.

Very clean and friendly Store. The range of fresh produce blew me away. The restrooms are very clean, the staff very helpful and the prices are excellent.

I love Detwilers!…Never had a farm store even close to this in upstate NY!, moved down here in July and visit at least once a week even though it is about 24 miles away. The meats and seafood at top quality, as are the baked goods, as well as all the fresh fruits and vegetables!…Prices are great and all employees outstanding customer service!…Had one issue one time, was given loin cut pork chops instead of the center cut I asked for, and less quantity then I had asked for. I took pictures when I went to use them, being so far away, wasn’t feasible to drive down late in the afternoon of the day we used them. On my next trip there, I spoke to one of the guys working the butcher shop counter and showed him the pics, he apologized, spoke to his manager, who had him give me the center cut and quantity I originally asked for and marked it NO CHARGE!…I hadn’t expected this at all and was humbled to say the least. I highly recommend visiting one of their stores!!…

Oh my gosh!! I cannot say enough about this place. We moved to Florida from Michigan about a year ago. My husband has been missing Hudsonville ice cream since we left Michigan. We stopped into Detwiler's to see if they had peanuts and nuts in bulk. He found his favorite ice cream so he was thrilled. It is a beautiful store, they have everything under the sun and the prices are wonderful. The meat is superbly fresh and the produce is so fresh it looks artificial. Lol. We said then that we would definitely be back. I stopped in there today to pick up pies for Thanksgiving and could not believe how fully stocked the store was, they were not out of anything. I just had mouth surgery yesterday so I am only eating soup so I decided to try their lobster bisque soup. This soup is AMAZING!!!!!!! Hands down the best soup I have ever had in my entire life!!!!!!!! You have GOT to try it. You won't be sorry. So thankful we found Detwiler's Market, we will be lifetime customers!
