Nordstrom Rack

My rating is actually 5-stars, but until this particular store hires a Denver police officer to stop theft, it will remain a one-star review. I will change my review to five stars if and when you hire armed security.

Today I witnessed a tall man, with a hoodie, a huge backpack and multiple bags walk out of the store with the alarm bells going off left and right. A security guard which this store hired just walked out with the thief, pulled out his cell phone and went on about his business as if nothing ever happened.

Other shoppers saw the same thing I did and could not understand why this petty thief was just allowed to walk out.
When we checked out, the cashier told us that security never stops anyone, which makes me wonder why they hire someone with a security labeled shirt who does absolutely nothing.

Worse, I personally feel insecure. The failure of this store to act in stopping a crime to itself is akin to abetting the crime itself.
You can bet other bad players will follow in the footsteps of this thief and create crime all over the neighborhood because of this failure to act.

Nordstrom, DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!! or we will become the next San Francisco or Los Angeles or Portland -- this is not right in any book and will cause the neighborhood to go downhill.

This incident happened 30 September 2023, 1800-1900 hours at this Colorado Blvd. Nordstrom Rack location. You have cameras that you can review.

And if letting people steal from you is NOT your policy, then fire your manager -- this manager is useless.

UPDATE:

As I noted in the post above, management did respond and posted a scary looking (in a good way) security guy upfront. Good. Much less likely that low-lifes will simply try to walk out with stolen goods. Keep up with security!

Went to find a new jacket and Nordstrom rack was the only store I could find any winter gear so on sales floor and great prices at that couldn't be happier

Good store with a good selection. The staff are friendly. It's very busy on the weekends, but organized.

Been to this location about 4 times with my wife in 12 years. Good store for women's clothes.

I’ve shopped here a ton. Also, a lot of great tailoring and alterations for clothes. Yes, sometimes they have a long line at checkout, but they normally do a good job of noticing it and more people come help with the check out process. Plus, there’s a lot of great food places nearby after you’re done shopping.

Great stuff went early 10am . Got lots pf goodies. No crowds in the morning.

Very clean store. Organization for sizes could have been a little bit better. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

This Nordstrom Rack is the best one we've ever been to. They have top name brands at reasonable prices. My wife went in shopping while I slept in the car, woke up and she was still in there shopping. LoL

My daughter and I love to shop here. We always find exactly what she's looking for at a very reasonable price.

Although I shop Mostly online, I visit the store when I need to return items and they have quick moving lines as well as friendly associates.

I love this Nordstrom Rack! It has most everything I need and the staff are friendly and helpful. The manager Joel went to all the lengths to help me find the item I needed, and eventually we got it! Thanks Joel.

Cathy Angelo was the biggest help to me that I've experienced in a very long time! She guided me to the perfect outfit for a beach wedding. I'd chosen all of the wrong things and she surpassed my wife's expectations! Thanks Cathy!

10x points till November 15 2020 for card members and $5off for first time app purchases. Staff is friendly and super helpful but forgot to email my receipt this time. However, they took the time to print it out for me. Great selection except for women's jeans. Boulder or Parkmeadows have a larger selection due to location. Awesome markdowns.

Great selection, I stick only to the clearance racks and can get an amazing amount of clothing for $50-$100. The Rack is not for people who don't have the patience for garage sales, swap meats or thrift markets. If you take the time to comb, however, you can find amazing deals on clothes. Accessories and shoes typically aren't discounted quite as steeply but are still affordable depending on what you're looking for. Decently priced make up, intimates and (surprisingly) pillows!

I’m a out of town shopper from New Mexico. I was shopping for a Betsy Johnson purse, so I headed to your location on Friday 4/9/21 my family of 4 was greeted by a friendly gentleman cleaning the front end of the store. I didn’t find Betsy, but I found a cute MKs tote. I wasn’t sure if I wanted it . We left, that night at the hotel I did some research, and I decided I wanted the purse! On 4/10/21 we came back to the Colorado at location. The same gentleman cleaning the front of the store was cleaning carts. He recognized my family and said “ oh hey again guys!!! “ I wish I knew his name.

Store was busy, being a spring Saturday this is understandable. Worker walking the floor helped unlock my purse and Bezawit D was phenomenal at check out. So nice and friendly even with the rush. Helped me sign up when she rang up my purchase ( we found a few goodies $234 to be on the dot ) . By doing this I was able to save $5!! I appreciate the great customer services and hope to visit this location again soon!!

Always fun looking for new items here, and it has a massive selection. Staff is great but are busy due to the amount of people shopping here for deals. This location blows Park Meadows location out of the water.

Your typical Nordstrom Rack. Lots and lots of nice clothes, shoes and accessories. Fairly organized compared to other Racks I've been to. The employees were really nice, helpful and definitely seemed to know their stuff when it comes to rewards and stuff. Some sketchy folks walking around, but what can yah do? Overall, good.
