UK Gourmet

I recently visited UK Gourmet in Bethel, CT, and it was an absolute delight. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted with the warm and welcoming atmosphere that the shop exudes, making you feel like you've just walked into a local British shop. The selection of goods is impressive, with shelves brimming with authentic British teas, biscuits, and confectioneries that are hard to find elsewhere.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their products, always ready to help you find that particular item you're looking for, or to recommend something new if you're feeling adventurous. Their suggestions on what to pair with what are spot-on and add a personal touch to the shopping experience.

But it's not just snacks and treats; UK Gourmet also offers a range of hearty British staples like bangers, meats, and pies that taste just like they've come straight from a British butcher's shop. Everything is fresh and of the highest quality.

The highlight for me was definitely the sweets section—the chocolate selection is to die for! I could also find some of my favorite teas that I haven't seen since my last trip to the UK.

well stocked store with very polite knowledgeable staff. Drove 90 minutes from upstate NY to shop for real mince meat from UK and filled a cart with all kinds of other goodies too.
Well worth the drive and in the future when I am in the area will stop by to restock.

Great place to pick up food items from the UK. Always a big hit around Christmas for specialty fôods and real Cadbury candy to buy as stocking stuffers. Friendly staff.

Great selection of products . Well worth a visit. They even have Fig Rolls and Boston Harbour Tea.

Varied selection and helpful staff. This store fills the bill for expats, anglophiles and those who are missing some of the treats discovered during travel. Their holiday displays and merchandise are outstanding.

Such a great little shop full of imported goods. Amazing sweets and chip selection for snacks as well as meats and cheeses. Staff are very kind and helpful with new products arriving all the time. A great little gem worth checking out if you want a taste of Europe.

My Dad was looking for Scottish meat pies. This is the only place in CT that sells them. Salesperson on the phone was courteous and helpful. All of the staff at the shop were pleasant and helpful. It is definitely worth your drive!

They have all my favourite England goodies! Extremely helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile and very knowledgeable! I love my trips here! 😍

great selection of British products, the biggest selection of teas in CT from across the pond. a bit cramped and pricy, but if you want true UK products you can find them here. Refrigerated Bangers, Squeaks, Bacon, creamed products etc.

Great selection of Uk food including candy, frozen food, and tea. They have everything you miss from your travels we live the crumpets, meat pies, and sausage rolls.

Lovely people and a quaint shop with a wonderful selection of treats, gifts and wares from the United Kingdom. Awesome selection of candies and teas, and a surprising case of cheeses and frozen foods like the potato and cheese pasties!

Omg! We got a bunch of candy bars and went back for more. Folks...British chocolate bars are Delicious! This is a must... something for every one... amazing tea selection, beautiful tea cups and the staff is so friendly. Felt good to spend some money there!! Do it!

Cadbury Flake and meat pies...at long last we are together again after a trip to the UK 10+ years ago. It wasn't for lack of trying... This is a GREAT shop.

Stopped in with MINI Cooper friends last weekend. They had some excellent QEII displays (funeral was that week). I always get some Brit candy or potato chips. Always a fun place.

Super fun little store. So many favorite candies from the UK. Tried the pumpkin pasty from the freezer section and it was delicious! The prices on the food are high, but that should be expected because everything is imported. They also had lots of fun mugs and gifts that I thought were reasonably priced. Will definitely stop back in when next in town.

I used to spend all summer, every summer as a kid in London! This part not only brings back cherished memories but brings out the child in me too! Now, I get to share crisps, chocolates, pies & more with my kids!! Their selection is extensive & they have the most popular brands. Scones & clotted cream anyone?

I've always enjoyed their shop. Only place I can get real Wensleydale with cranberry cheese!
