Review is for the bakery, since I live far and never shop in this store.

Nothing but the best words for the bakery! Actually, for the woman Maja who is making the cakes. I ordered them few times and they are terrific! Not just taste, but the flavor also! All my friends order here, and we tried all flavors and… you can’t say which is better than the other:-D!
As I mentioned, they are doing some decorations, not too demanding, but very nice (you will see on the photo attached). All in all- highly recommend this bakery!

Ps. Cakes are really big. Even though it says- for 25 people, it is more for 40 😁 so, don’t worry if you will have enough cake,each time I had less than half cake left😁

I love shopping from this store in dealing with customers number one in Chicago, they have the tastiest fruits and vegetables and they have the coolest cake

I love this neighborhood market. They have a good amount of fruit and vegetables that I like and an excellent selection of Fetta cheese and international foods.

Great assortment of reasonably priced fruit. Reminds me a bit of the old Stanley's on North Ave. Very nice looking deli and meats.

Great produce, meat dept, deli, bakery, wine/cheese section, ceramic ware, etc. Some of the European dishes u can buy are homemade by Donna. They carry a variety of Euro n ethnic foods, that can't be found at every grocery, aside from the usual. Parking lot gets crowded at times, but there is a free lot for customers across Kedzie. Convenient w wheelchr prking (& entrance). Staff is friendly, helpful. Checkout moves fast; they open another register if lines get long.

Wonderful and small local market. They have lots of items to choose from and they have a really excellent and large produce section. The prices were very reasonable. They also have many products from around the world specific to many other cultures and types of cooking. I really appreciate that.

Great one stop place for great fresh fish. I really like their large selection of produce which are very affordably priced. This is a very small store that makes the most of its space by filling it with quality ingredients. The European cheeses and sausage selection is great. The fresh meat and fish is not to be missed. The tiny little bakery counter is packed with delectable, creamy delights and tender, fresh baked breads that beckon with amazing smells! The dairy and grocery items are quite pricey but this is a great place to go to for great produce, fresh fish and delectable desserts. With plenty of parking available, Please don't pass up this little gem of a market.

Went there because of few Bosnian products and discovered the best Milka cake ever. Definitely recommending their bakery to anyone who visits.

Best little market in the area. Great selection and produce daily . You would never believe how much good stuff they have in this little place! Iv been back many times already and plane to keep doing so. Good experience.

The best market with Eastern European products always fresh pastries and cakes! Especially the sweets/desserts are hand made in house and they are literally melting in your mouth! There are gluten free choices perfect for people who are fasting.
Freshly made yogurt in house, sour milk and kefir. Fresh food and fruit. Great selection of international wines and other drinks.

I've been coming to city fresh since they opened, and I never had any negative experience. The mangers and employees are always friendly and courteous.
Everything is always fresh and not expired like in other European stores. I'd rather pay a few bucks more for quality.

I love this store. I always enjoy coming in here and buying all kinds of neat produce and fresh deli items. I love the bread selection in the store. Not your conventional bread. They don't believe in that in this store. You get hearty breads. You get good breads. Good polish and German and Russian Breads in here. Rye bread Stark Rye breads the whole nine yards of Breads in here. Cheeses fresh deli meats. You get things that you probably won't find in a conventional Supermarket. I even saw Amish Country butter in here. And you know you're not going to find that too many places. They got your vegan items they got your fresh organic produce items they have your fruits in your veggies and everything that you want. Imported chocolate and candy. They have it. They have imported beer and a lot of other stuff.

Reza's Restaurant recommended City Fresh for my wedding cake, and I cannot thank them enough. City Fresh was outstanding! We had a chocolate cake with strawberries and whipped frosting, and our guests have not stopped raving about it. The price was probably 1/3 of what we would have paid for something similar at the Swedish Bakery, and they delivered it to our reception and took care of the whole thing. 5 STARS.

We placed an order for delivery through Mercato- our first time using Mercato and shopping at City Fresh Market. A store team member phoned to let us know what was out of stock and was extremely helpful by suggesting substitutions. In this climate of grocery shortages and delivery delays, City Fresh Market really came through. The product selection offers a wide range of European items, excellent quality, and value.

Nice store with good organic and Eastern European groceries options. Rare to find options like raw fish roe, Eastern European product (lots of Romanian products) and really really good sweets that once you try, you're hooked.
