Dollar General

This particular Dollar General store in Boardman Plaza shelves were very well stocked with just about everything you would expect to find at any other Dollar General but this location has much much more then the other locations that I've been to, items in a wide variety of styles, lots of unusual items that were once only found and sold on TV commercials, items like reusable & cleanable all pure copper drinking straws, lights with motion detectors, all in one reading glasses - where one pair is the weakest strength all the way to the strongest and this is all in one single pair of glasses that every family member can use with ease, theres alot of school supplies, adult and child coloring books, a large selection of personal hygiene items and make up, first aid items and all the OTC meds you can think of. They have a large grocery section, sell cigarettes (which by the way, I'm 53 years old and the clerk asked for my ID, since I left my wallet at home she wouldn't/couldn't sell them to me, I respect this, I feel more at ease knowing that at least one store in town is trying to make a difference by taking a proactive role by not selling tobacco products to our children, Thank you Dollar General.

Came in to this store on my way through town and this was literally one of the cleanest stores I've come across in such a long time!
Chrissy waited on me while I was there and was so knowledgeable about everything I needed. Kudos to her and we definitely need more of her in this world!

On most recent visit, employee was trying to take care of cash register and move merchandise that just came off truck. She was amazing. So friendly and helpful, she even joked around even though she was so busy. This isn't set up like the DG I usually shop at, but the fantastic employee makes it even better.

I would give this a five-star because it's usually very organized but they were going to be closing at 12 yesterday for remodeling and restocked till Thursday. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like and if they keep it as nice as the one that's on Kirk Road in Austintown Ohio you've got another winner

I just want to take a minute to recognize the greatest employee at the dollar general store located in the Boardman plaza in Boardman, Ohio. I unfortunately did not get the young man's last name but his first name is Joe. I dropped my debit card while shopping in there, and needless to say I was sweating to death bc someone could have emptied my bank account in a minute and he scoured that store looking for it with me going to all the places I had been based on what was in my cart. When he found it my heart started to beat normal again bc at this point it was ready to pound right out of my chest and I really thought I was going to have a heart attack bc I was way past having a panic attack. I kept thanking him profusely and he just said all I really like to do is help people and make them smile. WHAT A FANTASTIC YOUNG MAN. HIS PARENTS RAISED HIM RIGHT IN A WORLD WHERE ITS TEMPTING TO DO THE WRONG THINGS!!! JOE, I hope you get recognized for your honesty, helpfulness, sweetness and all around being an asset to the Dollar General corporation.

They had exactly what I was looking for for my kids stocking and were the only option I had that was still open. The staff was also super nice and helpful.

I can find almost everything that I want and obviously the prices area fantastic! Also the person in charge is never too busy to help if you need assistance.
