Me and my friend are newer to hockey and they have very nice and affordable gear, the older gentleman running the store was very nice and was great at explaining things

Traveled around 2.5 hours one way to the Penalty Box since it is the closest hockey store to me.

The gentleman that runs the store was AMAZING & the sweetest.

He helped my son & I find the appropriate size for his first hockey skates & stick. He also sharpened the skates for us to what would be appropriate for a beginner & showed my son how to tape his own stick.

My son & I fell in love with him by the time we left. We will be repeat customers.

My only regret is I did not get his name.

Can't beat this place. Such a great guy, he was patient with me and all 20 pairs of skates I was trying on. Thanks for all your help. Customer service like this doesn't exist in many places. Great prices on gear and skate sharpening as well.

Great people! Mike took the time to go through skate options for my family, very knowledgeable and friendly. Haven't seen customer service like that in a long time! Will definitely be back.

Great place. Great sharpening for just $7.00! The employees were very nice and voluntarily put my guards together! I will definitely be coming back here again. Paul may seem a bit standoffish, but he is very kind and he and my father struck up a conversation about hockey.

Truly a gem! I don't understand the negative reviews about the older man, he was so nice and helpful to me! Quality customer service. Very reasonable pricing and quality customer service! Plus you can get your skates sharpened instantly! I will definitely be back!

Seems a bit pricey but a lovely local store. Very helpful in choosing skates and the kids hockey skates are a decent price. Especially considering they sharpen the blades there for free with the purchase or after every $150 spent. You won't get that at a big box store.

This is a small family owned business that does everything possible to take care of the Greenville hockey community and it's people. I've seen first hand how much time and effort they devote to all of their customers. I happened to be in the store when "Angie H" (the person that left the bad review yesterday) was also in the store. Her review is NOT at all what I witnessed. Truth is, she stated her son's team had messed up his jersey number and the team told her to go to Penalty Box to get the right number put on. When Paul (the owner's dad) said it would cost $10, she literally started throwing an adult temper tantrum while demanding she should NOT have to pay. Paul calmly re-stated that was the cost to do the work. With that "Angie H" took her son's jersey and peeled out of the parking lot. I've never seen an adult act like this before, so I felt bad for Paul. The Penalty Box is a great place for all things hockey! Any sane person who has been in this place knows the family running it does everything in their power to make people happy and that this is the place to come to for all things hockey!

Their knowledge about their products is evident. Very helpful with trying on and purchasing my first pair of skates. I highly recommend this store with friendly and knowledgeable employees.

These guys are the best. They are very knowledgeable, are willing to answer questions, and have excellent customer service.

If you like hockey and live in Greenville you need to visit this place. Prices on par or better than internet pricing. An old school hockey shop in the south. Sharpening. Owners son is no doubt an an A league hockey player so they know the sport. You dont wanna play on a team against him...he will burn you. Great people. Get all my gear here. Without them hockey in Greenville sucks.

Great store for buying all of your hockey gear. They are so helpful and kind! It can be intimidating trying to buy hockey gear for the first time, but they made it easy.

Got my figure skates there, and the man was very helpful. The skates are amazing as well, much better than the rentals I’d been using.
