Mitchels Live Bait & Tackle

I've been coming here for a long time and never had a bad experience. Their bait catches big fish constantly. Would highly recommend this location.

They also have every thing needed in addition to bait to catch pretty much anything.

Minnows healthy. Out of the hundred or so minnows bought,only 2 dead after a full two days in the bucket. Will definitely stop back anytime I need anything

Very friendly local owner. This is a family business and they service is always delightful. They have night crawlers and minnows and so much more. If your in a pinch and need some fishing supplies they got you there too. This is a quick stop shop everyone's friendly. Always leave in happy spirits here.

Get all my live bait here. Good prices and solid bait. The bait I've gotten at other bait shops dies much quicker than that of Mitchels even though they are the same type.

I just called this bait shop. The guy that answered the phone was very polite and answered multiple questions I had. He was very helpful in giving me very accurate information and very accurate directions to the front door. Gentleman that I talked to was very nice and when I asked about any ice reports he might have heard about he offered several area reports that he had heard about. Told me about Cranberry Pond, Braddock Bay, and couple other local fishing places I am not familiar with. Gave me few suggestions on ice fishing places and was just super helpful.

Nice, honest folk that are straightforward about what's going on in the area and your time there. A real deal tackle shop. Avoid this place if you just got paid and are a gear junkie; their lure assortment is vast and covers all the bases. Will def return next Rochester trip.

I would give them 10 stars if I could!! My husband and I fish all over Rochester and surrounding areas just about every weekend. We will not get bait anywhere else!!! We go out of the way to make sure we can get it there! The baitfish are healthy, the night crawlers are tough unlike Walmart's or Vend a bait machines. Mitchels never disappoints! Ryan is nothing but a great guy, friendly, kind and always has a smile. He takes the time to chat and talk about what's biting and where. The prices are the BEST around on not only bait but tackle too! SHOP LOCAL!! He treats all of his customers so well. I was in there the other day and a few young fellas were asking questions because they were going fishing with their dad. Ryan didn't hesitate to answer every question and even ran out the door after them to hand them a complimentary cup of leaches and told them to keep the sport alive!! We HIGHLY recommend Mitchels!

Omg! If I were king I would decree every town with any sport fishing near by "will have a Mitchels Live Bait and Tackle"!. We were finished for the day from our salmon charter but still plenty of daylight. They directed us to fishing on breakwater for perch and set us up with minnows and advice. Very friendly, great gear, great advice. Made this father and son team from almost heaven West Virginia vow to make Mitchels a must stop where ever we are in Rochester.

It has been years since i fished but I have wanted to go again and now that my kids want to do it too I decided to get them some poles. I live in chili but decided to stop by Mitchel's because the reviews were really good and hate the Walmart's and big box stores. I love this place. Within 5 mins the guy working there helped us pick out poles that the girls both loved, set us up with bait, and told us a great place for the kids to start fishing. We had a great time too. Thanks! We will be back when we need fishing supplies.

Awesome customer service good people quick an friendly sevice last minnows were little small for bass minnows for the price I did get nice bite off crabs an minnows were very active something def was after them before I left fishing I gave crabs an minnows to some worm fishers so good things may happen soon good luck

I've only bought worms here for vermicomposting but it seems like a good shop for your fishing supplies. Live bait looked healthy and service was good.
