I purchased a NXS 2.5-10x42 compact and mounts from HCR and had them install it on my rifle. They did an amazing job sighting it in for me... 4 years and its still holding within 1MOA. Perfect eye relief position, superbly knowledgeable and friendly! I hope to build a customer rifle with them soon!

I have interacted with Matt and his team on many occasions. They have accurized several rifles for me with excellent results. I finally bought a rifle that they produced in their shop. The Huntsman in 300 win mag. The accuracy and overall ergonomics of this rifle are incredible! It’s like it was made to fit me ! The team at HCR are always willing to listen and help you through any questions you may have . I know there is a great staff behind the scenes but Matt, Justus and Josh are typically the face of the company. What a great group of folks !

Justus was fantastic, I came in looking for a pistol not knowing exactly what they offered, and he still took all the time in the world to explain what they did and answer various infantile questions that I had. Knowing that I wasn't probably the person that was going to be buying a rifle the even this year. If you are looking for a custom rifle I would highly recommend their services based on how knowledgeable he was an incredibly patient. It's not very often you find this type of care in a gun shop. I give them 5 stars.

I have not actually been in the shop, but I have talked to Matt on the phone a couple of times. He is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in providing great customer service. A lot of shops you will call and they seem annoyed that you were calling or that you are bothering them, however, with Hill Country rifles that is not the case. You feel like you are the most important customer at the time. I look forward to using their cerakoting services in the near future.

I was introduced to HCR a little over a year ago and had them do extensive work (trigger/add magazine/cerakote/accurize service/bedding/mount zeroing) on my factory R700 .308. The quality, guidance and outcome was outstanding! Recently, due to a scope upgrade, asked them to mount/zero and check for a more accurate/new ammo load given Hog Hammer's discontinuation. Again, great advice and guidance created an extraordinary outcome, .324! Thank you Matt and Team HCR-Customer for life!

A few years ago, I learned that you need two things to become an accurate shooter, particularly at long ranges - 1) Quality equipment and 2) training. HCR has produced 8 rifles for me and each delivers quality beyond my expectations (less than 1/2" MOA). Matt and his team have guided me through each purchase and are always available to answer questions. Would never consider buying another off the shelf gun or from another gun maker.

I have a bunch of custom rifles by some of the best know gunsmiths and buy far the two rifles that HCR built for me are the best handling and accurate out of all of them. Matt is fantastic to work with

Recently had HCR build me a custom rifle and finally got to go out and do some shooting with it, and all I can say is wow! It not only lived up to the 1/2" 3 shot group they said it would shoot, but exceeded it!.I was able to shoot a .75 inch group at 200 yards. I was not only please with the way the rifle turned out, but with the entire process with them beginning to end! They exceeded my expectations at every turn. From talking me through what they suggested in our initial conversation, to letting me know that they had order everything for my build, to working with me on changing the delivery to work with my schedule...World Class customer service at every turn!

Wow I would love to question Mr Sledge as to his problem as he is referring to one of the most respected custom gun builders in Texas . Im fortunate to be able to hunt many places and have used a variety of HCR rifles to shoot antelope in Wyoming , Brown bear in Alaska and Nilgai in the south Texas desert up to my first Stone sheep in BC this past fall. Having owned over a half dozen rifles from HCR I can say that I am beyond pleased and would tell anyone interested to give HCR a call . They are absolutely great folks and a tier one rifle builder . Went to have them put a scope that i had all ready bought and a muzzle break that they would make custom for the gun on my 7mm rem mag. There only concern was the gun and if it would work after i left there store. Great customer service and did not mind i did not know everything about guns.

The best group of guys I've met in a gun shop. It's a custom rifle shop so don't walk in looking for 22 rim fire ammo. Great rifles, with the 3 shot group showing the accuracy

Over the years I have had 4 rifle builds and numerous additional rifles accurized by HCR. As I do a lot of back country hunts I prefer Browning actions as the safety does not get pushed off when the rifle bounces up and down next to the back pack. The accuracy of these rifles is uncanny . 0.1 MOA too many times to be luck. While i like looking at other custom rifle builders, when it comes down to it HCR is who I always use.
The paper target speaks for itself.The plate is 3 shots 300WSM Federal 180 gr factory Trophy Bonded Tip bullets at 300 yards!!! Call it luck if you will but I never had this luck with other rifles.
