We went there on a rainy Sunday, with only 5 days untill Christmas 🎄 , at Patrick Henry Mall, expecting a heavily crowded mall and stores...
Our visit with four children (3, 5, 11, 14) was a quick and easy, in and out. Soccer shoes and soccer balls for all four, a gift for Dad and Mom, and Uncle B.
Yes, we spent quite a few $$$$. There were many shoppers who appeared to be grazing and shopping 🛍 .
There were ample store associates to assist shoppers with their needs, basically no waiting in line for/to check out.
There was an acute sense of social distancing by store associates and shoppers/ customers alike.
All of the store associates were kind, courteous and eager to assist.

Went and found the Yeti tumblers for Christmas presents.

I ordered a new driver online and when it arrived, the shaft of the driver was snapped in half--it was damaged in transit.

I originally took the damaged package and broken driver to the UPS store in York County thinking they might refund me and order a new driver; however they wanted me to ship in the broken one and wait up to 30 days to receive a refund for the damaged product..

Well, the manager at the Dick's store actually had common sense and puts customer's needs first. He had his golf department replace the damaged driver shaft with a new one. I walked away a happy customer with a new driver.

I live in VA Beach. Without HRBT traffic, this location is around 45 minutes from my home. However, this is the only store that had a particular blue tooth enabled spin bike. I ordered and picked it up on Saturday 1/2/2021. However the location loaded the wrong bike into my car. I realized this only after I had already gotten the 100 lb. unit back to virginia beach and up to my 3rd floor room. It was an honest mistake, the bikes are nearly identical, however the one I ordered had bluetooth capabilities, while the one loaded did not. Those bluetooth options were the sole reason for the purchase. So, I get on the phone to see what can be done to remedy the situation. obviously, I am trying to aviod lugging this 100lb unit down the stairs, drive it back to Newport News, just to repeat the exercise when I get the new unit (The irony isn't lost on me, I know I purchased a piece of workout equipment, and am complaining about the workout it gives me.) After hearing sup par, and pretty run of the mill solutions and lackluster apologies fo about 20 minutes, Emily, the store manager, knocked it out of the park. while we didn't reach my ideal outcome, which was simply a delivery of the correct unit and pick up of the mistaken one, she gave me some pretty sound reasons as to why that was not attainable and then, empathetically worked with me on finding a solution that was ultimately agreeable and made sense for everyone. She really stepped up to the plate, heard me out, and worked really hard to make me happy. Emily is a winner and I am impressed with her ability to find solutions and work creatively with customers. Thanks, Emily! I appreciate you!

Went in to buy a pair of sneakers.
Met by a young man (Max) who was knowledgeable and very helpful.

They usually have sales on ammunition at decent prices and you can usually get coupons which makes it a lot easier to buy ammo at a reasonable price. I recommend anyone who goes here for ammunition to get a scorecard and always fill out the receipt for the $10 off 50.

Beautiful top of the line dicks store, I really enjoy coming here you can find most things you could ever ask for to get outside and have fun, they have a good selection of guns, no pistols, and all the workout gear and sports equipment I could ask for. The customer service is amazing and they will help you find anything you need and are very knowledgeable about the things that they sell.

My husband enjoys shopping in this store so much. The gentleman that helped him was very nice.

This place has the cheapest range ammo in the area. If anyone know another place with better prices please let me know. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Hunting, shooting, and any other outdoor activities this is you place to start.

tom in the golf section is a great guy. got my driver a new shaft and he made everything easy even stayed late to finish it.

We got a trampoline last week and love it, looking at mountain bikes and kayaks awesome place to shop.
