I visited twice before buying. The staff is friendly, informative and not pushy. The squirrels were spoiling my attempts at feeding the birds. I rolled the dice and bought the modular pole system with the "raccoon" baffle. I've had it up for about a week now and so far not a single squirrel has found a way around the baffle. Several have tried and appear to be totally baffled! If you buy this system, use a level when installing the first pole section and check all axis multiple times for best results and a straight pole.

For all your birding needs....thanks to WBU, we've got a regular nest of bluebirds, we feed a flock of goldfinches every day, we see woodpeckers, finches, thrashers, towhees, chickadees, carolina wrens, AND we've been visited by a migrating Baltimore oriole, a tanager and grosbeak. Good clean fun for everyone, and a great present for children of friends. Just be sure to get the Squirrel Buster spring-loaded feeders so so don't spend your precious $$$ on feeding the squirrels instead of the birds. Also, we've just used shelled sunflower chips and we get the vast variety of birds we do.

We love this store. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and great products. Prices are higher on bird food and feeders, supplies than some places but the service and quality can't be beat. Their pole systems are quite nice and they have many options to hold the feeders of your choice. If you are new to bird feeding the founder of WBU has a wonderful book to help you get started attracting, feeding and identifying all of your new, feathered friends. I learned of it in their free "Guide to Feeding Birds" pamphlet in store. I bought a copy of the book online as they had no copies on store, which is a shame because it is a GREAT book. We are new to SC so we really enjoyed this detailed info on getting started. There are a staggering number of products out there and the guide really focuses on how to figure out what will work best for you.
This small store is lovely. There are birdbaths and a fountain/waterfall type water feature that gurgles and the sound is quite relaxing. There are many wonderful, unique gift options for anyone who loves feeding and attracting wild birds. Always an enjoyable visit to this peaceful oasis.
Join the club and it pays for itself in no time. A free bag of seed ( which is valued at price of membership) to start and decent discounts to follow. You also accrue points for your purchases to spend on future items.
While it is admittedly a bit of an investment to start up with a system, feeders, seed, etc, the items are very high quality and will last for many years to come. The enjoyment you will get from watching the beautiful birds in your yard will pay dividends on your investment. The bids just love their blends of seeds, fruits and nuts and the option to purchase their "hot pepper" items that squirrels don't eat is helpful. It helps to keep them out of your feeders ( as do the nice baffles they sell for poles). You can buy shelled peanuts or corn and feeders made for those fluffy little buggers there, too.
Staff is so always fun to chat with and not pushy salespeople.

Visited for the first on Saturday (3/12) and were absolutely blown away! The store is gorgeous and full of everything you could ever need for your outdoor feathered friends. The associates are so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about local birds and how best to attract them. We ended up getting 2 different feeders, seed and signing up for their membership program.

Very friendly and knowledgable. Great care is taken to provide the best seed for our birds. Always fresh never rancid. The birds can tell the difference and we get a great variety of species throughout the year! This is a specialty store and and the prices are very good. If you are okay buying bird seed next to the poison section at the big-box store; this is not your store! If the birds could write reviews, it would be all positive reviews!

We stopped in here to grab some gifts for my husband's grandfather and we had a great time! Dana and Karen were wonderful to speak with and had a lot of knowledge to share! We left with a few things but will definitely be back to grab some more goodies!! We adore this little hidden gem! They were even kind enough to gift wrap what we bought and it was done beautifully and they gave us a free gift for being first time shoppers!! ♡

Wild Birds has a great selection of birding items. They really care about the world of birds. We get our seed there, buying the clean seed that seems to attract a variety of bird buddies. From decorative items to houses to out door baths, they really have a nice variety. The service there is wonderful.

I'm very pleased this store is close to my home. They've made it work during these strange times. I call in my order, pay for it. Go there, pick up Firey Feast for my bird buddies and I'm on my way! It's worth the $25 to "join" they give you a gift, you get discounts, $10 off. Great staff. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Sure I could buy bird seed from anywhere, but I just love this supplier. The staff is always welcoming and the seed is always fresh. Plus they have some unique ideas and items, and are always full of useful information on my habitat that I have in my back yard. This new seed that I'm buying attracts the most beautiful birds, from Cardinals, to Carolina wrens, to red-headed woodpeckers, along w/others that I have yet to identify! They are such a treat to sit and watch from my dining room window and the big bag of seed lasts me a whole month+. They also have a frequent "flyers" club (my term) that saves you money with each purchase. What a great find they have been! I know I will be coming here for years to come; only wish I had discovered them sooner. 8^)

Melanie, Abbie, Janice and Jim are amazing. At times you may question if an individual chose the right career. I'm confident that Melanie and her team of experts are right where they belong! The passion that exudes from each associate is infectious; their product knowledge (which food attracts cardinals, which food deters squirrels, which feeder is conducive for certain species, etc.) is immeasurable. I spent nearly an hour in the boutique browsing products and observing the staff's interaction with each customer (they knew each by name). I was enamored with the rapport that had been established. I could go on and on but I won't. I urge you to stop by the boutique and experience the warmth, love and passion for yourself.

P.S. Melanie and Janice, the hot pepper dough cylinder does fit in my dinner bell :).

Knowledgeable salespeople, nice selection. For the fine quality prices seem ok. Don't compare to HoDe or Lowes, this is a full step above.
