Dollar General

I read a lot of the reviews prior to writing this one. I agree with some of the concerns that have been expressed. I have had multiple online orders canceled without notice and I do think the store needs more employees as well. My rating is mostly reflective of the employees and manager of the store. This store specifically is cleaner than others I have been to. They have everything I am looking for when I go there, but even with cancellations and sparse employees in the store, the staff is absolutely amazing.

I had an incident with a Dollar General employee who, does not work at this store but was working at this store the day I went shopping there. The incident itself was extremely upsetting. I went to the self checkout register. One of the regular employees was replacing the receipt paper on the register I went to use. Standing there waiting for her to finish, she could see I was about to cry. She asked me if I was okay. I proceeded to explain to her what had transpired 10 minutes prior involving an employee there. During my conversation with her, I really tried hard not to cry, but I was a mess because of the incident. This employee stopped everything she was doing, listened, genuinely comforted me in that moment and gave me the general manager's personal number. I contacted him and he initiated an investigation into what had happened at their store. During this time he communicated with me several times and handled my complaint with the seriousness it deserved.

I recently visited the store for the first time since the incident I spoke of. There was new employees who were amazing to deal with.

Sometimes you need to remember the issues in a store have nothing to do with the employees or management. They are only doing the best they can with what corporate has given them.

I won't shop at any other Dollar general. This store has shown that they truly care about their customers and will do what they can to help you in any situation.

MAJOR TURN AROUND in the Danforth store! Aisles are totally uncluttered! Full shelves!!! Still great prices!!! Many thanks to "Christine" and her team for a Super Improvement. I'll be back!

I try to think of reason to go there because of the wonderful lady brandy who works there she is so pretty and sweet and so helpful I would say this is the best dollar general but it's the people who work there that make the store 5 stars ....

This truly is my "General Store". I prefer them over walmart, due to location and crowd control. The folks that work there know their store pretty well, and as long as you say your please and thank yous, you will always get it in return!

The employees are usually super friendly people which I love the most! Nothing is worse than seeing an angry looking worker when needing to ask someone about a product, etc.

Linda is a very nice lady. The store is looking a little better. At least they had what was on sale on the shelfs. Keep up the good work Linda

WAY WAY WAY Better than Homeland..... try 8 bucks for hamburger at homeland vs 3.49 at dollar general this is for real i saw a pound of hamburger for 8something at homeland , I just left the whole basket rite there and walked out, went a couple more miles to dollar general.
Idk exactly the price at DG but it was less than half of what homeland had that day.I LOVE MY DOLLAR GENERAL just need more in Edmond , where others raise prices just Because they are in Edmond , OK

Variety store with good selection of outdoor decorations and supplies. Was pleasantly surprised with craft and cake decorating items. Nice housewares. Also good prices on food items.

Great store. Just wish it was more organized so you could actually shop and not move boxes as you go down the isles

Friendly staff.. Very helpful... I'm new to the digital coupons.. the cashier was very sweet and patient and explained what I needed to do.

I know it was a little crowded that's all other than that is fine everything is great about it prices are good parking is fine just a little crowded that's all on the inside

The clerks and management are very friendly and helpful. Thata why I go there. No matter where I have always received great friendly service for years.

I love this store more because you literally find awesome stuff without having to go to Walmart in crowds Dollar general in my opinion is #1

Nice clean dollar general very close to Hobby town USA in Edmond. Helpful friendly Staff and well stocked.

Dollar General has great prices and a great selection on cards. It’s very convenient to go to Dollar General for something quick because we live outside of the city.

Easy access to the store. Great hours and clean restrooms. Store employees are helpful and kind.

Good deals on lots of items, some more expensive than the big stores but you really cant beat the convenience that this store offers

Dollar General has things I cannot find elsewhere. They are always very friendly and reasonable. Have a little of everything.

I go there quite often it has nice incentives that I love and get in on most of the time.
