The employees are always welcoming and friendly with wonderful advice/tips. I'm doing a few DIY projects this year and some things will be contracted out, but regardless as to who is doing the work. The Home Depot on 87th should be your first stop. The paint and paint supplies as well as the peel and stick are all from Home Depot.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Customer Service Team at the Dan Ryan Home Depot. Tametta, the ring leader, is full of life and brings a smile each and every time I walk into the store. I'm the Founder CEO of Home and we provide affordable housing opportunities all of the City of Chicago and nearby suburbs. Needless to say, we frequent Home Depot quite a bit and these Young Ladies on the Southside are always worth the trip. I would highly recommend everyone checking this location out for your next Renovation or Home Improvement Project!

Been having fly and mosquito problems lately went to find a bug zapper, FOUND it and a zapper fly swatter. Can I start by sayin the swatter is my husband's favorite way to kill flies he actually be looking for flies to kill 😆

To the employee who asked me “so, your boyfriend lets you come here alone?”:

First of all, lolz. Second of all, I only asked for your name bc you were the first HD employee ever to initiate asking me if I needed help, when usually you all are scarce. I wanted to post a shout out to you in this review for being proactive and professional. However, although I enthusiastically relied, “Yeah! He’s gotta stay home and watch our baby!” I was internally rolling my eyes. Why did you have to make it creepy? Why did you have to forget it’s 2023 and plenty of women go to HD to buy tools and supplies for projects they are doing themselves, without needing help from some dude?

I’ll still give this place 5 stars though, bc a total of 5 employees asked me if I needed help finding something and helped accordingly. Not sure if it’s because they are professional, bored, or just thirsty 😂

Line are always long but they seem to move quickly

I went here last night with my husband to get a few items before closing. We were helped by a gentleman by the name of Derrell. He worked in the Paint section. He was patient and very informative when helping us decide on which tools and type of paint to use for our home. He educated us on which types of paint would fit in each rooms based on the different kinds/textures. He made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend returning here.

I literally came here for a Chicago dog and it was well worth it! I've only ever seen this at a home Depot in Florida too... There should be one in all home depot's in my honest opinion!

They had enough personnel where it appears to run efficiently. I was able to get my questions answered. I was able to be rung up in a timely manner. The store was well stocked and clean.

The store Home Depot is well stocked. And the staff is helpful especially when you go and ask a question seek them out. Less likely though to approach you as a customer and ask if you need assistance. Overall great store - I’d rate it high and it’s clean and has ample parking.
