I am so grateful to have Damariscotta Hardware nearby! Many prices are competitive when compared to big-box stores, the staff is super helpful and I feel valued as a customer. Keep up the great work!

It would help if the owners posted photos of some of the aisles; most helpful would be plumbing and electrical parts, bird and pet supplies, the aisle with the multitude of sliding drawers containing screws, bolts, etc; maybe painting supplies. I notice a difference between Hammond Lumber, True Value, etc. in the offerings in the Midcoast region. You can send photos to Google Maps from your cell phone camera.

Damariscotta Hardware is a fantastic store. They have almost everything you could ever need or want, with a fantastic selection of goods and great customer service. I have bought grills, fishing equipment, household items and more from them. I have also rented from their rental department with zero issues. Please keep in mind that their prices are higher than you will find at Amazon or Lowe’s. Markups can vary across products, but it is noticeable. This is not a reason to rate them lower in my opinion. They employ people from the community and help to support the local economy. I will always come back.

I use this store all the time and today was a perfect example of why; all the employees that helped me were super friendly and helpful. Rare these days so thank you!!!

I went to this hardware store looking for a part for my outside oil tank. The gentleman I showed the broken part to took me to the appropriate area. He was extremely knowledgeable and got me what I needed in less than 5 minutes!!! I am very grateful 🙏🏻

Unbelievable inventory. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices decent. And I love the Sunday hours. Heck with Lowes and Home Depot in the future. No sense in driving the extra 30 miles for paint and/or general hardware and lawn/garden items.

Lucky to have a store in town with such a large variety of items.

Have been renting excavator and other items from Damariscotta Hdwe., for years and professional treatment with great knowledge base is always top notch.
Mike brought out the excavator with his pleasant attitude and giving his company kudos at the same time. Cherish this type of employee...they just aren't around, anymore!! Sorry to say.

Good hardware store with very helpful employees. I was looking for some tips on fishing and was helped by an employee who knew his stuff. Took his advice on some gear and had better luck than the gear I was previously using.

This is my favorite hardware store. They have the best staff, always friendly and helpful. The store is well-organized and clean. Love this place.

I have been a permanent resident here for 15 years and before that a summer resident for several decades, and this amazing hardware store has always been the best I have ever been in - and that includes many stores in many states over many years. Damariscotta is simply the best!

I had locked the keys to a padlock that went to my trailer, in the trailer. Because I had bought the best padlock I could find, it was a hardened shackle, and good ol' bolt cutters wouldn't do the trick. I called the Damariscotta hardware store looking for a locksmith. What I got was something better.....an employee with a high speed cutting disc. It took about all of 5 seconds to cut the lock off. It cost me the price of the cutting disc, which I got to keep......

Really great store! They have everything I need. The employees are very kind!

I live on an island and order stove and heating supplies from Damariscotta Hardware over the phone. Their customer service is always friendly and professional and they deliver right to the boat line.

Great inventory - great prices - great people! If it isn't in stock, they'll do their best to find it and get it!
