Best Thai Restaurant

My husband and I order out from Best Thai Damariscotta about once weekly. I usually default to the Fresh Ginger With tofu; it is exquisite. Fresh slices of ginger permeate this dish, along with snow peas, onions & peppers. I order brown rice and most recently with noodles. I love it every time!! We ate in the restaurant with friends two Fridays ago, and the food was fresh, well presented and DELICIOUS1

I am embarrassed to say it took me three years to try this restaurant, deliciousness I will never recover.

Anyways, we had the shrimp shumai and chicken pad Thai. The shrimp shumai was perfect, as was the pad Thai.

The waitress was very attentive and kept our water glasses full.

Looking forward to the next visit!

I had the garlic sauce Chicken and must say that the vegetables were perfectly cooked. They had a crunch to them that just hit the spot
The fresh spring rolls and their home made peanut sauce was delightful. I'm so glad we stumbled on this place during our roadtrip.

Literally THE *BEST* THAI. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our party ordered 3 different curries, 2 kinds of rice, 2 soups, 2 noodle dishes, the mango rice dessert and one Thai coffee. Everything arrived exceptionally fast. The portions were large and everything was cooked to perfection. Every single dish was amazingly delicious. I kept waiting for something I didn't like but never found it. My only tiny complaint was that one of our curries had to be asked for, but when serving a large party, something is bound to slip. I would definitely visit again and tell all my friends that this is the place to have Thai.

It's a regular for us. I highly recommend this place. I live 25 minutes away and order often from them. Their Thai food is very consistent and very good quality. Many vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices.

My husband had the pineapple fried rice, very good. The Wonton soup was delicious, lots of garlic....the pork dumplings needed more seasoning. Try the Thai tea, very nice. Attentive service, reasonable prices.

We literally stumbled upon this little place and it was wonderful. I have a soy allergy and I was worried they could not serve me but they went out of their way to make sure I could eat the Pad Thai and it was DELICIOUS! Tender chicken and the right amount of sweetness and tang. My husband also ordered the chicken pad Thai and his was equally as delicious. The service was amazing. We definitely recommend.

So glad we found this place right after kayaking at Damariscotta river. Yummy food & great service.
Food- We had thai iced tea & chicken drunken noodles, thai red curry, basil fried rice & mango rice. Everything was tastier than expected.
Service- Staff is very friendly & service was fast.
Ambience- Nice & warm.

Delicious! We had a delicate curry dish that was amazing. Crab Rangoons were delicious!

1st time patron here food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.
I ordered takeout but the restaurant was very clean and safe.

My experience has been with multiple Take-Out orders from the Best Thai. It has been consistently excellent ! The most recently I ordered and waited at the bar. The food arrived just as I finished probably the best MaiThai I have had in years.

Delicious food, fast service, friendly people and best of all, for anyone who knows small towns in Maine, open after 7pm.

Oh man, seriously. The food here is amazing! We had such a fantastic time. The staff is wonderful, and the atmosphere is great. This really is world-class Thai food. They have a huge selection of items from apps and soups through entrées, noodle bowls and curries. Can't wait to visit Maine again so we can come back.

Delicious Thai food! We were so pleased to find this restaurant open on a rainy night. The staff are very polite and helpful and all our dishes were terrific. They do a great carry out business too. Highly recommend!

I try Thai everywhere I go. The veggie tempura here was perfect. Light coating. I did not use the dipping sauce, but my friend enjoyed it.
I had a seafood penang, my friend beef curry. We both were surprised at both the serving size and reasonably priced lunches.
We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The meals were served quickly and piping hot.
If you like Thai, you will love THE BEST THAI.

Delicious Thau cuisine - the mango curry was exceptional! And as always, it was complimented well with the Thai iced tea. Will definitely be back!

Some of the best Thai I have had anywhere. Always enjoy my meal whether dine in or carry out.

Food is full of delicious flavor, one of my favorite places to eat.

We often get takeout and it has always been great, but for the first time we recently had lunch inside. The server was pleasant and inside was cozy on a rainy day. Food was yummy as predicted. We got the brussels sprout appetizer and the fried spring rolls - all delicious. Our main dishes (pad thai and curry) were also great. Happy to have such a great place in town!

Really great place for Thai food. My husband and I both got drunken noodle for lunch. Mine was with fried tofu and his with chicken. The food came out quickly and was full of flavor. Level 3 for spiciness was a great (I like spicy food but also like to taste my food). We almost got a third one to take home for dinner!
