Bargain Books Richmond

Enjoyed my first visit to Bargain Books today. I was in need of some “beach books” for the summer and found just what I was looking for!
Lots of popular authors among a wide selection. The staff were so nice and helpful! The prices were great too!

WOW what a cool place! Spent 3 hours in here with my teenager and she had to drag me out lol. Great selection of DVDs, all kinds of books, etc for dirt cheap! The owner Bill is a super nice guy and was very attentive to each person that came in.

If you are looking for used books, movies, games, etc., this is the place. Used book stores are often disorganized and this place was just the opposite. Everything was sorted and labeled. The staff were friendly and helpful. I especially liked the movie DVD section where, again, everything was properly sorted making it very easy to find what you are looking for (and they have thousands of movies).

This was a great find. Definitely recommend. Great vibe, great atmosphere. It's full of books, old movies (DVD and vhs), video games, and comics. The book selection went from self help to star trek, old westerns to cook books, and so much more. I walked away with the first 6 books of the Dead series (True Blood). I'm happy I decided to stop. I can't forget the prices was great.

Really cool store with a vast selection of books and other media. They also give fair value store credit when you trade in. It will take me many more trips to look through everything. Can’t wait to go back!

Large selection of extremely affordable books, vinyl, dvds & crystals. One of my favorite places around Richmond right now. For those interested in crystal or books, you definitely want to check this places out!

Excellent used booked store that is just a brief detour off of I-95. Prices are fair and if a book isn't the best condition there is wiggle room on prices. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area

Best bookstore in the area. They also offer store credit for books you turn in and if you volunteer your time to stock their shelves. Bill the owner is great, as are the other employees. Just good all around.

Great staff, Rare Books, Dvds, Records , cd's ........a bit of everything in this store and prices are great. They even have minerals and crystals in store.

Fun spot to spend hours! We left with stacks of books and movies. Well-organized and clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a really neat used book store. I usually don't frequent used book stores, being in the digital age of media, but I was on a mission to find a soft cover book in a series for my Aunt that was printed in the early 2000s and hard to find. The proprietor is helpful and friendly and I found the book within 3 minutes of walking into the store. My friend and I then spent over an hour just wandering the vast collection inside. Some of the neatest items are the early 1900s hardcovers. I definitely recommend a visit if nothing else but to try to find one of your childhood favorites to gift to a younger family member.

Awesome little book store! Books are very affordable here. They have a wide selection that seems to be ever growing. Definitely planning my next return trip soon. I prefer to buy books used and from a local business before going to the big stores so this fits the bill perfectly

This is the best second hand book store. The owners care about preserving our history. Best book store in Richmond!

This was such a neat find! Bill, the owner, is such a character and brings a fun and eclectic nature to this bookstore. All books here are used and if you look, you can find some great ones. Selection is amazing and he has them categorized and alphabetized. If you are in a budget, this is the perfect place!! Did not pay more than $5.50 for any books, even hardcovers. I got like 10 books and only spent $40. Will definitely be going back.

What a neat place! Huge selection of books and they're all priced at $5.50 or below. My daughter is an avid reader and came out with a box full - books she's been looking for, as well as a new series to try. There's also a neat program to volunteer in exchange for store credit. If only we lived closer!!

Highly recommend this shop. My boyfriend and I went NUTS and both found a pile each of awesome books for a steal. I’m halfway through the first already. All the books are great prices. I found some treasures. Not just books but DVDs, video games, crystals, and other stuff!
Almost every book is under $6. The younger girl who was working was really nice and helpful.

What a wonderful store! Owner Bill is friendly, chatty and all about books (music and movies, too!). Miles and miles of aisles with quality new and used items. So happy to see families, couples and readers of all ages browsing.

Wonderful spot for finding used books and reference guides. All the books I purchased were in great shape and great low prices. I would highly recommend before Big New Book Stores.
