Decent gas prices. Easy in and out even with a trailer or RV. Clean store. Handicapped accessible. Subway restaurant inside with seating. Bathrooms old but clean.

FINAL UPDATE:
Only an hour or two after my last update to this review on Aug. 19th, I was again contacted by CEFCO DM Bill Moody. He stated that he had sent a money order via USPS on Aug. 1st., which we never received. Mr. Moody stated that he would send a gift card for the amount via UPS, which we did receive this morning. I have increased my review from 1 star to 4 stars, reflecting the sincerity and willingness of CEFCO to address our issue to a positive conclusion. In light of this, I could not let my below comments stand.

Further - if you publish a negative review, and are able to reach a resolution amenable to all parties involved, please consider updating your reviews to reflect outstanding customer service...

Stopped in with my wife for lunch at Subway midway between Houston and Fort Worth. Sandwich was fine, and staff seemed friendly enough. Wife bought a bag of Golden Flake Pork Rinds, which turned out to be the hardest I've ever tried. When my wife checked the bag, the expiration date was July 4th - today is July 27th. I gave these to the clerk on duty, and advised that the route driver and manager be advised.
She also tried to cash out a pair of $3.00 scratch tickets. One was a dollar or two, which was paid out. The other was a $50.00 winner, which, after they SCANNED it in, they told her that they didn't have the cash to pay her out. The clerk handed the ticket back to my wife. On return to Fort Worth, we tried to cash out the ticket again, where the manager informed us that once scanned at a location, it cannot be scanned again. After a heated exchange, I recovered the ticket as proof. Nobody at the Hearne location explained any of this to us, or offered any way to pay out the ticket. We are now out $50.00, it would appear, as the trip from Fort Worth to Hearne and back would cost almost $50.00 in gas.

I sent the above to CEFCO management - I received a reply July 29th from District Manager Bill Moody, who wrote:

"Thank you for reaching out to us. I’m sorry to hear about your experience at our CEFCO location in Hearne, TX. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. Let me apologize for the experience you had. I understand the Golden Flake Pork Rinds were out of date, and that is unacceptable. I want to also apologize for the issue concerning the $50.00 winning lottery scratch ticket. The clerk should have paid out that ticket immediately and I will investigate further. I would like to reimburse you for the pork rinds and send you the $50.00 for the winning ticket. If you would provide me with your mailing address, I will send that out to you immediately. Again, I apologize for the experience and will make it right."

Today is August 18th. I provided my address and phone #, BUT:
No further communications, certainly no $50.00. Please don't reply to valid complaints/concerns if you're not really going to do anything about them (though it sure looks like you care). I have yet to see any updates from other customers saying that their concerns were positively addressed.

Staff is usually nice, almost always clean with little to no line at checkout 😉

I like stopping here, it’s convenient and the fuel prices are among the best around. However, I just noticed that the diesel price on the pump is higher than what is posted on the sign. It’s still not a bad price, but deceptive advertising isn’t OK.

Subway inside of CEFCO in Hearne, TX was absolutely HORRIBLE. One of the sandwich makers was incredible rude (midway making my sandwich she dug around in her pockets, pulled out her phone, and started texting on her phone-- SHE THEN continued making my sandwich. When I asked her to change her gloves she started trash talking me to her coworker (her coworker also did not know how to make the sandwichs the customers in front of me asked for, which lead to them having to keep changing their request) even though they were asking for a subway melt and something else. That is quite annoying due to the fact that the employees should know how to make them (if they don't they can at least try to figure out how to make it instead of asking customers to order something else)
VERY UPSET- especially the trash talking right in front of me and others.
If I had to rate the service of this place on a 1-10 scale they would receive a NEGATIVE 3.

WARNING!!! THEY PUT A HOLD ON YOUR CARD I'd avoid this place especially if you are traveling. We live locally and we got gas, they put a $100 hold on our card. Never again will we EVER go to another CEFCO/CEFCOS. EVER!!!
