Texas Department of Public Safety-All Driver License services and CDL Testing

I have been in several different offices recently trying to strengthen out some things and this place is the best! The lady I believe her name is Medina. Was very pleasant, and very helpful!

After dealing with the frustration (putting that lightly) of 4 other DPS offices for three days in a row, for my daughter to receive her driver’s license, we were finally helped at this location. It was refreshing to be treated like a human being and to have someone willing to communicate with us.

Had a great experience there, we were in and out quickly and treated kindly. We went to get a driver's license.

Finally!! After driving all over Texas for multiple days in an effort to get my license we finally were able to walk in here thanks to the graciousness of the employees here. We wouldn’t have been able to get my license finalized until October if Hearne didn’t have mercy on us. We do understand this is a rare situation but thanks to the Hearne DPS for having some common sense!

Actually the most pleasant experience at the DPS I've ever had. Made an appointment online, showed up 40 minutes early, checked in on a phone 📞 . Attendant was friendly and helpful. Waited about 2 minutes before getting called back. The Beautiful lady named Mellonie Carroll at the desk was super kind, sweet, positive & very friendly. Entire experience was about 15 minutes and was out before my scheduled appointment time.

We went to this DPS location because it was difficult to get an earlier appointment date anywhere in Austin area. Their office is clean and not crowded. Easy kiosk check in. Service was excellent. Highly recommended! Shout Christina for making process go as smoothly as possible. In and out of there in less than 30 mins! Not a paid advertisement, just want to to save people's time.

No problems, had my reservation and needed documents. 15 minutes later had a motorcycle endorsment. Lady who waited on me was very professional and pleasant.

I don't know about the rest of these reviews, but the bryan office was booked for the entire day and wouldn't book walk in appointments (8am), extremely rude about it too. I drove to hearne, made an appointment there for 5 minutes later, and renewed my license. I had to get this done TODAY. So hearne dps saved my month! And were very nice while doing it.

Easy process when you have everything in order before arrival.

New office and always clean inside and out. They do regular renewals and it is so much nicer than going into the large DMV and waiting forever. Nicest staff. Easy in and easy out.

Went here after after being told at the Bryan location at 11a that they were booked and I'd be waiting for hours. In contrast to the Bryan staff, the staff at Hearne were polite and I was in and out in 30 minutes and I was told it was a "busy day".

I'm amazed at the quality and efficiency the staff here! It was worth the 3.5 hrs it took to get there... I dealt with Renee Medina and she was a true professional with a kind heart... Thank you !

Today I received my cdl, I currently live in Dallas and was hesitant in driving down there due to there bad review, I passed my road test today, they are very strict but very nice as well.

Went for my CDL, I read all the reviews and was very nervous because of what they said.... once there, I calmed down and realized that she was a normal person that takes her job serious. I passed my test on the first try....

The schedule isn’t pushed out for 7 months and We were in and out within 20 minutes

They do regular DL, too! This is a low-pressure place, and the folks are very friendly. If you go in later in the afternoon, they are almost empty. Late August/early September are bad times, as they are swamped with school bus license applications.

The CDL server was down and I had to go in three times BUT they were very helpful and got my issue take care of.

The line was short and the service was excellent. We plan to return there and further driving licencse renewal.
