Wow I can't believe how many people whine in this comment section. It's a great lil shop with essential foods and more, beer and wine as well. Very convenient location with a staff who is always friendly to me, anyways. I guess ivy leaguers are just hard to please. I'm so glad this shop exists.

Lovin’ this new market in my neighborhood. Employees are nice and extremely attentive. A nice alternative to Whole Foods. They ave an extensive green section including non-soy protein alternatives for dairy and meat products. Bravo!! Sandwich deli and Sushi made on site, Prime extensive selections of cheese wine and waters. Had my first teardrop shaped grapes. I’ve never seen them before really delicious!! — YUMMY!

I was initially overwhelmed by your store, it was like where do I even begin?! Luckily your store guide Sam Z took me through every section, explaining the store’s mission as we went. He was fantastic and informative. I also enjoyed the Nick Meyer freebox in the beer area. Great store, I will be back!

Great supermarket in University City. I'm really glad we finally have a place that sells healthy organic produce and products nearby. The prices are pretty good and if you get a savings card you actually end up saving quite a bit of money. Overall great store.

Small footprint store of giant. Not large but it has a good selection of meat and vegetables the vegetables are very fresh I enjoy the organic apples and lemons and all of their organic produce. they have a self-service checkout line but it moves quickly when someone is always there to help you if you need assistance I highly recommended this grocery store if you're in West Philadelphia

Not your grandma’s Giant…this Giant is more geared toward the health conscious and organic lovers out there. Specifically, the one one at 3401 Chestnut in Philadelphia is smaller than other Giant Stores I’ve visited. Perhaps this is why it’s Giant Heirloom instead of Giant Store (sorry for the pun). However, despite its size, it is inviting and cozy. The staff is always kind and helpful. They even drop what they are doing to show you where to find something. Even though it’s not giant in size, it has a Giant heart. 😉

Visited on opening day. It was busy during the lunch rush. Huge produce section and prepared foods with an entire section just for plant-based products. I found everything on my list and all the associates were friendly. So nice to have this a few blocks away. I'll do all my grocery shopping here now.

love this grocery store; it's small, but always has all the produce, dairy, etc. products I need. I don't usually buy meat here unless it's on sale, but they run a lot of sales and offer great coupons, so that's actually been happening more frequently.

This is the best grocery store. They have great prices and very diverse food offerings plus specialty services, without the pretensions of a Whole Foods. They have a deli counter and dining area inside, self checkouts, and everything so far seems to work. Staff are friendly and helpful, the store is open very early unlike too many other stores, etc. Count me in!

This Giant is a Heirloom Market, which means that it's more expensive and has less options than a normal Giant, but almost all of the options are healthier than usual. I don't usually shop here a lot but if I need groceries or a quick lunch/dinner without having to walk a lot from my apartment, then this is the place to shop!

Amazing selection for such a small footprint of a store. The prices are pretty close to my home Giant too, so I feel like this is a win-win-win situation of convenience - price - and selection. This store has actually changed my life for the better and I rarely review things online. I highly recommend going here.

It's the 2nd store to open up. It has affordable prices for what you're buying. Most of their food is organic, healthy, and have options depending on one's diet or allergies. There's various products despite the small space. Most products are GIANT brand to keep the price low. The staff are friendly and helpful. Recommend

Like the arrangement of groceries here. The brand product are must try. The wine and beer collection is great, and interestingly has Martini’s too! You get a bench and table top to sit too if you want to hang out brainstorming your beer choices or check emails during a shopping-break.

Giant Heirloom Market is a quality grocery store in the North Western University Area. I know that a ton of my friends from UPenn and Drexel prefer shopping here for a reason.

Giant is a very small and cramped location. This isn't a problem usually, but it can really be an issue if you're trying to pick up something after work during rush hour. You always have to be mindful not to get in the way of other people.

At least for me, it's important to know what you're getting out of this location. Because they're such a small store, they're quite limited in some aspects. They unfortunately don't have an in house butcher, so you may not find certain cuts of meat. In addition, they frequently run out of certain products like neiche cooking oils at the end of the day. They do have a lot of fresh produce though so that's definetly a plus.

I think this location is the equivalent of a smaller Whole Foods, with a smaller selection, catered for the specific University students and UPenn area residents. They have a very good Asian/Indian food section that's unmatched by anywhere else except Chinatown, as well as a lot of more expensive high quality products. If you're here to pick up the basics you'll be fine!

I just wish they had Free Parking. There's a UPenn parking garage across the street! They would get so much more traffic (and I would go here more often) if they would have some form of parking. It's a real PITA to get here if you're more than half a mile away.

Good selection of food and have vegetarian options. The store layout is a bit weird at first, but after going weekly, it gets easier.

Gotta love a place like this in the heart of Philadelphia. You'll find items that you typically wouldn't find in a standard grocery. They have kombucha on tap!! It's absolutely incredible and I prefer it to bottled now. I've been spoiled.
