Stop & Shop

My experience with Stop & Shop has been quite excellent. The customer service was on point, and the organization of the store was/is superb. The quality of the food is always up to standard, and they have most brands that I commonly look for. If they do not, they often carry competitive alternatives. It's worth your money to shop here, and it's a company I would like to see remain around for sometime longer.

This review is based solely on my experience as a customer not an employee.

Why is experience here so much better classier higher end than the Stop & Shop on Boston Road.

I've been a customer of the Boston Road Stop & Shop for more than 10 years. Every now and then I come to this Stop and Shop on Cooley. It's just so much nicer, cleaner, there's more staff, their carts aren't complete _ _ _ _. They have three cashier registers open and the booth of auto machines. It is a rare day when we have two cashiers in Springfield Boston Road. Three would be Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Convenient location near almost everything on my way home. I usually shop there and always find good deals on produce and deli.

I went to EcoBuilding Bargains a couple of days ago and came across these beautiful cast iron kitchen sinks. I was told that these sinks were from the 80's Era. Wouldn't these look good in your kitchen? I'm doing a partial renovation in my kitchen and the red sink would definitely be a functional conversation piece.

All my visits are always pleasant. Clean, organized, most employees are friendly, fast and easy grocery pickup.

For online grocery orders I typically get everything I ordered with minimal or good substitutions. Picking up is easy and usually pretty quick and the employees are ALWAYS so kind.

Self checkout typically has all or most open. Every once in a while we'll get an employee in self checkout who will ignore you and/or the "help" call from the machine.

Lines for regular checkout usually aren't bad at the times I go(weekday mornings) and there is always multiple open.

Bathrooms are pretty clean and the store as a whole is usually clean and well stocked.

Never been in it before, but driving by, and needed to get things for supper. This store is sooo clean, bright, no bad smells. People were so friendly, helped me find things. The meat lady, stopped what she was doing, went out back and got me jumbo chicken wings. They were perfect!!( except for the price). Bought 3/ 12 wing package. If I lived closer, that would be my store

5 Stars for one specific employee, I kept forgetting to do the review so I hope I remember the name correct, Glenn, who cut a deli order for me a few weeks ago Friday afternoon. He did his job like a professional! Doesn't sound like a huge compliment but it is the biggest that comes to mind, the machines were clean, he didn't make me wait forever, he listened and got the amounts right, he wiped the machines when switching meats which seems like a normal thing but I've never seen anyone else take the time to do that, that was HUGE for me! He didn't put the price labels on his shirt while bagging the meat like most of the other employees do which I find very unhygienic. He was very friendly and quick but tidy. I wish he was there every time! I was just about to stop getting deli meats at this location because I've witnessed too many unsanitary behaviors from the employees. Overall the store is good, I prefer to shop here, usually not very busy and well stocked, I like the GO points system and they usually have a lot of decent sales on the products I get. Produce could be a bit better but that's not always the store's fault. I do sometimes find expired products on the shelves and point them out to employees to remove, so be sure to double check.

I started shopping at Stop & Shop during the Pandemic because of on-line pick up. It’s been a life saver for our entire family. The convenience along with the wonderful personalities of two on-line employees has been life changing for us.
I had several serious health issues last year and Meadow and Adela went above and beyond to help me.
Always a cheerful, friendly greeting on the phone, when I arrive for pick up. Waving with big smiles as they load my car, making sure my bags aren’t too heavy. Meadow and Adela are hardworking women with big hearts. Wonderful representatives of Stop & Shop!

Smooth experience from start to finish.

There was ample parking near the main entrance. This stop & shop also provided disinfectant products for patrons to use on the shopping cart and hands.

While shopping, guidelines for social distancing were well laid out and fluently implemented.

The check out experience was seamless and conveniently staffed.

Overall, a smooth and convenient experience.

My favorite grocery store. Always friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked shelves. Excellent bakery with a wide selection of fresh made breads, cakes, cookies, pies and other assorted pastries. Wonderful deli with large assortment of coldcuts, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods. Excellent seafood and meat departments, always well stocked with a large variety and very helpful staff, always willing to share suggested methods of cooking, along with proper temperatures and cooking times.

We needed to grab a few items store was clean and neat. Well stocked and prices decent.

Bought chicken. Tasted great

Just ran in for a few things tonight. I'm happy they're open later now! The store was clean and well stocked and as always, the employees were very friendly.
Prices are up but they're up at all the stores.

I pick up here for the food bank, staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location with a very clean store and great selection of food and produce.

Store is clean very well stocked cashiers are very friendly I just wish the team member watching self checkout was very friendly she just stairs at you doesn't say a word that's my only complaint I will continue to shop there

I went with my friend to stop & shop on Boston road in Springfield mass and I was very impressed with how the employees keep the store clean and the shelves stocked with grocery items and I would recommend stop & shop on Boston road in Springfield mass for everyone to go to for good customer service.

Good for Gas points but with the daily inflated prices I've opted for Big Y and Price Rite why pay double for things to feed your family Come on Home to Big Y lol
