It was 11:40 PM, and I found myself walking through the bustling streets of Wynwood, Miami. I needed to order a Lyft and the streets were jammed-packed with cars and people. It was the Halloween weekend in a busy area. While I did feel safe, the late hour did make the area seem a bit sketchy. As I waited for my Lyft ride, I decided to step inside the Marathon Gas Station and grabbed an ice cream while I waited.

To my surprise, when I asked for a spoon, the lady behind the counter told me they didn't have any. I couldn't help but make a comment about how I was supposed to eat my ice cream, and her response was a simple shrug. She was an older, Spanish-speaking woman who appeared polite but had a sassy demeanor with customers.

Overall, the gas station served its purpose, but the service left something to be desired, especially when it came to basic amenities like spoons for ice cream. It's a convenient stop for late-night snacks, but don't expect overly friendly service. Honestly, I can’t blame her, I’m sure she’s seen a bunch of nonsense at these late hours of the night.
