Western Carolina Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialists

From the start the staff was considerate of my laryngitis and accepted my pre-written explanation for what I was experiencing and the notes I wrote on a pad I'd brought. They were respectful and helpful. I was seen quickly first by a staff person who recorded what was needed for the records and then by the PA Jacob. I asked him to read what I had written to give him the background and previous history with my condition and previous recent and past treatments I had received. He read it and then examined my ears, nose, and throat. He asked questions I could answer yes or no and explained options for treatment. I had written that my left ear had excessive ear wax and asked for it to be removed. The PA Jacob took me into another room where the needed equipment was located and extracted the wax. He arranged for a appointment with Dr. Wenzel to use a scope to examine my throat and vocal folds for the following Tuesday. It was a very positive experience. I was well treated and satisfied.

I had been having multiple nosebleeds all throughout December and January. I went to Dr Wenzell and he cauterized a blood vessel in my right nasal passage. This has stopped my nosebleeds. I’m so thankful to him for this. My visit was quick and check-in was a breeze.

Very good! Had extremely impact eardrum. Pretty painful. Removed the wax and treated the ear.

All staff members that we interacted with were very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor’s exam was very thorough along with a very good bedside manner.

We saw Claire Hug first and she was great! Two days later we saw Dr. Jennings also great! Was very helpful and accommodating to my sons specific needs. Ordered the tests he needed immediately. All the staff were nice and helpful as well.

Easy to get an appointment and the front desk people were extremely nice and welcoming. The PA I saw was friendly and explained everything and told me things I needed to do to help my issue. Check out lady was very sweet and friendly making my experience there 100% satisfying. I will definitely come back and tell my friends and family.

My husband was fitted with much needed hearing aids. They were wonderful, spent a lot of time with his audiogram and fitting and answered lots of questions! We feel so blessed to have found this practice as we navigate the needs of aging and finding professional and kind audiologists.

My family doctor referred me to Western Carolina Ear, Nose and Throat and they were able to see me the following day. I needed a minor procedure to remove fluid on my ear and they were able to perform the procedure the morning after my first visit. All my questions and concerns were addressed and after one month of muffled hearing, I can hear again. I received great care from Doctor Wenzel and his staff.

Had a second visit with Dr. Wentzel with a few years in between. I had a great experience from beginning to end. I did have to wait a few weeks before I was seen but in my case, it worked out due to another issue that popped up in the meantime. I can see how that might be frustrating to some.
The front desk staff are all very pleasant and the doctor listened to all of my concerns and took the time to explain what he found upon examination. Got meds and hopefully I'll be on the mend soon!

Was able to schedule an emergency appointment the same day. PA was really nice, thorough and right on target. Had a little trouble getting prescription called in but got that fixed with one phone call. Highly recommend this practice.

The reception staff was friendly and helpful. I saw the PA, who was knowledgeable, thorough, and competent. He completed my exam, treatment, called a prescription, and had my follow up scheduled, in a very reasonable amount of time. I would use their services again.

I feel that this office is exactly what we needed whey husband received a diagnosis of Parotid Gland cancer. The office manager and Dr. Wentzel directed us and made arrangements for a very successful surgery at a Cancer center in Winston Salem. We are so grateful for the prompt and totally professional care.
