Safeway

Safeway is absolutely a better, overall store than Lucky's is. Taking the time to make this review should tell you that I'm a fan of this supermarket!

Cleanests Safeway I ever seen

Exactly what you would expect from a Safeway located in Los Gatos. Lots and lots of high-end food beyond the usual groceries. The deli section looks phenomenal! Don't worry about a lack of parking near the front door, they have a gigantic underground parking lot beneath the store. 2 hours limit for free parking! An elevator or stairs will take you up to the store.

One of the nicest Safeways I have been to

Very pleased to see they're still open decent hours. And the shelves were well stocked, apart from the soda aisle. Self-checkout was packed but the glitch causing continual requests to place the item in the bagging area - I already did, thank you - seem to have been resolved. Good for a quick grocery run.

I have a service animal accompany me while I grocery shop and I ran into an issue when a woman with a pet dog was in the Safeway as well. Her dog was lunging at mine and it was a whole thing. I dont know the employees name but she has ginger hair and she maybe was a manager? She did a great job handling the situation despite the pet owner being a jerk lol.

The team at this Safeway have been very helpful over the years. I seem to surface strange ingredients in our recipes but I can always find them at this store.

I love coming to Safeway. They have great products and excellent customer service. If I can't make it to the store, I just order grocery delivery. They may be a bit more expensive but the cleanliness, staff, and multitude of choices (even Baskin Robbins ice cream!) is a huge plus! 😁

This place is very clean and not busy in the morning. They also have very nice flowers and lots of them

For me it is like an Ali Baba's cave...open sesame and most of my shopping is done...spacious aisles...great veggies and fruits!
The BREAD ... especially the baguette is THE BEST!

This one of my favorite Safeway's. I know the stores are supposed to be the same but the French bread tastes more authentic. Also like the selection of cheese and alcohol. Clean and plenty of parking underneath. Organic fruit selection is pretty good as well and cheaper than Whole Foods. Make sure you use the Safeway mobile app to get more discounts.

This is one of the nicest Safeway's I've seen. The staff is super friendly, underground parking with elevators, and a great selection of specialty items. They have an impressive wine and cheese selection, and the best sushi I have had at a Safeway. Ask for a custom roll of your choice, the sushi chef Wen is restaurant caliber talent, and very friendly. Nice outdoor patio for lunching, Starbucks, Redbox, no bank. Great liquor department with items you can't find in other stores, lots of high quality (expensive) bottles in glass cases. Very clean from the parking lot to the bathrooms.

This Safeway has improved enormously since being rebuilt. The new management has improved staff responsiveness and the wait times to checkout.

Even the bakery is pretty good. The bagels are almost as good as Noah's, but at a fraction of the price, and their custom cakes are always a child favorite.

Prices are significantly lower than the local competition, and even their prime grade beef is close to Costco's price (but still higher).

I wanted to say that everytime I go to this store I have a great experience thanks to Teresa and Ali who are two kind workers in this store that I am just so amazed by how nice they are to costumers. They are just awesome people.

Your friendly neighborhood grocery store. I regularly get my lunch here, for 7 bucks you can get their fried chicken meal with two side salad. You can also get Sushi and chicken teriaki bowl here too. Good quality of food for reasonable price.
