Purple Onion Café

The Purple Onion Cafe in Downtown Los Gatos is a step up in service from your average cafe. The egg and bacon breakfast sandwich I got was delicious and worth the price. This is something I rarely find myself saying these days. Relative to the amount of customers they were handling, both my drink and meal came out quickly.
The employees were diligent, focused, and professional. I'll definitely be returning if I crave a high class, cafe treat.

I have had breakfast here multiple times now. The coffee is DELICIOUS and served in a ceramic mug if you do dine in. There's vegetarian options, I had the egg breakfast croissant with veggies which is very filling. Comfortable outdoor seating in the shade. Food came out quickly and the service was great! Good spot to come for a casual breakfast.

Great little cafe with healthy and delicious breakfast and lunch options. So far I've loved everything I've tried, highlights are the detox soup, chai latte (with alternative milk options- oat and almond), lemonade, and the gluten free desserts (blondie, brownie, and cream-filled chocolate cupcake)!

Always tasty, clean and fresh choices. Gluten free friendly as they use Mariposa bakery baguette. Oat milk available as well.

One of my favorite places for breakfast/lunch/coffee! Menu is on the smaller side and hasn't ever let me down. The Chorizo Burrito and Chicken Mozz sandwich are a couple of my favorites.

The staff here are wonderful and have bent over backwards (in cases where I was at fault) to provide great service. As other reviews have stated, it can definitely get chaotic during lunch hour.

A Los Gatos local favorite...excellent food, salads, sandwiches and soups with a california twist. A little pricey, but the quality and flavors well worth it.

7:30 a.m. today ordered bacon egg sandwich and one keto style. Excellent food but the service from the young lady will have me coming back always, she was so helpful and kind.

Great service. Nice atmosphere. Clean restaurant and bathroom. They have a great chai latte. And all the croissants I’ve tried, both sweet and savory have been delicious.

Great downtown go to place, consistently good food and great coffee! They serve Illy coffee. The quiche and pastries are filling and good coffee companions. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Since it is a popular stop, you may have to hunt for a spot on the weekends. But they move people pretty quickly.

I really enjoy this place. Everything I've had there tastes great. I especially like the croissant egg sandwich with sausage. They have a sauce they add that makes it taste great (the croissant is already good.) I don't think you can go wrong here.

Really good, healthy food made in a very clean and organized kitchen. Ordered takeout online and it was ready promptly as well. The owner/manager is serious about covid safety and just what we need.

Cute little cafe with soups and sandwiches. Food good, but not great. Service good. Atmosphere is really its best point. It's just a nice place to get a good lunch.

Have had the classic turkey and club sandwiches... both were awesome, really fresh crisp taste and decent side salads as well. Gotta give it a shot!
