I'm sad to see him still closed. This used to be the place I would stop by after work every day and just hang out for a bit talking and playing games. Hope all is well, Curtis: can't wait to see you open again. Huge inventory of Atari through Xbox and Playstation and beyond with some rare finds now and then. They also offer refurbish and repair service; as well as buy/sell/trade competitive with market prices on Price charting.

Fantastic store with an unparalleled selection of retro games at very fair prices. This is the best store in Lexington to find obscure games and hardware. Very friendly staff are always willing to help, and usually know their stuff. I'll definitely keep returning! Honestly, they should consider doing events to get their name out there more, and the space would be great for retro gaming tournaments.

Love the place. They have great quality games for fair market value prices. The owner is super nice and knows the value of good customer service and a returning patron. I was never treated like I was dumb and I was allowed to test out my SNES games if I had any worries. I stopped by one day and the owner was super nice and not overbearing about me getting a game console. He was cool with discussing all my worries about collecting and was fine that I'd have to think about it and come back to him. He ordered the games I wanted in which was super nice. I will be returning and you should check it out too.

Newly discovered this awesome store. Great prices and large amount of products available spanning back all the way to my childhood and beyond. The owner and employees are very friendly, and knowledgeable. Will definitely be taking all of my retro gaming related business here, it's absolutely worth the drive from Frankfort.

Lexington has needed a place like this for a long time. I'd recommend this store to anyone if they were looking for a place to get old school games at awesome prices.

The staff was more than helpful in finding what I was looking for, I picked up some awesome titles that I was having trouble finding, getting them for way lower than what I would have paid for online.

I am very impressed at their business model and definitely will find time to visit this store as much as I can!!!

Honestly i've only been here like 4 or 3 times but i have got to say one of the best retro game stores in Lexington. I think the prices are fair and there are plenty of old games to choose from. it is a very cool store and i recommend anyone thats looking for old games to go here.

I've been to the store a couple of times and both times and was made to feel welcome both times. The selection is good and prices are fair. The owner seems more than happy to work with customers to make them happy. This store will be a regular stop on my search for retro games.

Extremely cool little place! It's hidden like a hole in the wall, but they've got ALL the old school gaming cartridges and controllers and consoles and everything else you could ever hope to find. What's more, they're surprisingly inexpensive compared to Game King and GameXchange, which is a huge plus to me! The staff is super friendly and helpful, conversational as well, and are happy to help with just about anything and everything.

These guys are nothing but professional and good guys. Great customer service from my experience. This is truly a really good store and the guys do care. I was in there w the situation that the last few reviews are talking about. That guy was trying to get over on the store. i thought they handled it very well and they did try to take care of the guy bunch times. The other guy walked in like 5 seconds before other guy walked out. Barely even heard what was going on and i sure didn't even hear him say anything but I did see them talking outside w no problems. so i think it's just a couple guys trying to do the store bad and the guys wrong. Jus my opinion. 5 star review all day everyday for these guys. Really a great place. Every time I've had a good experience and everyone else I know has too!!

This was a great experience. The owner and staff were not only willing but able to suggest me things when I requested that. There were not pushy at all. This was the best video game store experience I've ever had. I look forward to going back and will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

This is an excellent video game store. I recently visited Retro Rewind LLC because I was experiencing a problem with one of my XBOX 360 controllers. Brandon (one of the store employees) cleaned my 360 controller and chatted with me while I shopped. After he cleaned my controller he tested it and now it works perfectly. I highly recommend that you check this store out for all of your gaming needs. Curtis (the owner) and his people don't just sell games; they also repair video game consoles and accessories. The other local chain video game stores don't offer repair services. Curtis and his employees don't just care about video games; they care about their customers and it shows. Thanks for your help Brandon and Curtis and I wil definitely visit your store again in the near future.

Really friendly and helpful guys here! I just dug up my old nes so I went in to ask some questions and get some advice. They answered all my questions and even gave me a set of tools for opening nes cartridges for free! (They have them for sale for $5) they're very knowledgeable and are transparent about game prices - you don't feel like you're getting ripped off. They're obviously passionate about what they're doing, and are who I'd recommend in the Lexington area for any retro gaming needs.

GREAT SERVICE 10/10. I just went in Retro Rewind to see if my PS3 could get hooked up. The man plugged it in to their TV for testing purposes, and literally spent 30 minutes just for the $7 total. I don’t know if you understand business but that it called dedication and making the customer satisfied. Who knows if you’ll like it, but if you’re in the area you gotta check it out. Retro Rewind is a awesome Retro video game store there is not one like it in Lexington. They have multiple systems set up so you can play and Test games before you buy them. And the Owner and staff is very friendly and courteous and help you in every way they can. Retro Rewind is number 1 in Lexington KY

Retro Rewind is simply the only place I will buy video games from, from now on. Other establishments in the area’s staff are terribly rude but worse than that, don’t know anything about video games. It is a massively disconnected business model, that has no place in this community, Game King. Retro Rewind however is a store made by a gamer, for gamersin response to this very disconnect. Since Christmas last year they’ve aimed to capture the hearts, and a couple of bucks, of gamers in our local community and it is just terribly fun there. You really can feel the owners passion and love not only for the games he sells but the community who plays them. It’s what a hole in the wall game store should be. Every game on the wall is a legacy to gaming and is arranged in a way that walking in to the store is walking not back in time but in to a museum that sells the art on the wall. There is even talks of hosting game nights and trade exchanges that I can’t wait to be a part of in the future! Retro Rewind has my heart, my wallet, and all the games old and new that I will buy from now on.

Kurt the owner is as good as they come. Super nice dude, very knowledgeable and if he doesn't have it he knows how or where to get it! His selection comes and goes with the wind so checking with him on the regular is recommended. If you tell him you're looking for something specific he will call you if he gets it in. Newer shop so still building a reliable inventory and his buy prices are very fair. I love going there every weekend to check out his selections. Currently has some rare Japanese imported consoles and an OG famicom! Check him out!!

Great selection of retro games, systems and accessories. They have some unique consoles that can use multiple cartridges from Nintendo, Sega & Atari. The employee was very friendly and helpful.

This place is awesome! If you like retro, or older classic games and accessories; then this is just the place for you! Just try to visit Retro Rewind and leave without buying some nostalgia of some sort.. You can't do it! The store hasn't been ipen long and I expect the already great selection to get even better. Retro Rewind is a great store, with friendly and knowledgable employees!

Owner personally called and texted me to let me know when a game I was looking for (Lunar Silver Star Story Complete) had made it's way into the shop. Then priced it well below ebay and other places. Great employees and owner, great place.

Super cool store with a great inventory of common and rare retro gaming stuff. Well kept and decorated like an old school video store. A pleasant blast from the past. Super cool owner who gives great deals and very fair market prices.
