Lots of interesting modern lamps, home decor and collectables upstairs - reminds me of the best shops at a very high end beach. Downstairs is the best hardware store in the area for high end locks, knobs, cabinet, kitchen and bath hardware, and a lot more. Order custom signage for your high end house. The owners are extremely helpful, never pushy.

We had an aged Baldwin mortise lock and handle that needed to be replaced. We had taken several stabs at figuring out what we could get without success. That all changed when we found this store! Wayne was amazing in his breadth of information and finding us exactly what we needed and doing a tricky installation in our old but beautiful mahogany door. So thrilled!!!

Lynn could not have been more helpful. She took our plans. Helped us navigate styles. She gave me great options. We had issues during covid with getting handles on time but she worked out a temporary solution until the final game in.

Wayne offered a free solution when he could have sold me a new $600+ Baldwin front door handle and lock.

My Baldwin front door handle and lock began to fail. Thinking I had to replace the set, I went online to find a local retailer who sold Baldwin and found my way to The Home Specialty Store.

Fortunately for me Wayne, an expert in Baldwin, who told me that since I was the original owner of the door handle set and it was warrantied for life, I could make a claim with Baldwin. And, for a nominal fee, once I received the replacement parts he would come to my home and install it.

I made the claim, the parts came in, and made an appointment with Wayne. My door handle and lock are now working as good as new!

I love this place. I shopped there when they were in Leesburg, and now that they're in Great Falls, I stop by more often. I have found great accessories for my home -- unique items that I love. They have the best selection of cabinet pulls I have ever seen -- just ordered 24 for my new kitchen. The owners, Lynn and Wayne Baker, are so nice and super helpful.

I absolutely love this store... Every time I am in Virginia, I try to get here. Lynn is so nice and she always goes out of her way to help. I always look forward to coming here ...their merchandise is so different and unique, I never walk out empty handed.....you can even call if there's something that you saw in the store and wasn't sure if it would be a perfect fit. Lynn has sent me many a package when I called and told her what I wanted....

This place has unusual, pretty and eye-catching pieces that would enliven anyone's home! They have furniture, accent pieces and endless hardware and lighting for the home. Having just moved to Virginia from San Francisco, I am happy to have found this place. It seems like there is something here for everyone. The owners have excellent taste, so this store is my go-to. Anyway, it's a design store for the home and a gift shop that's perfect for friends and family!!

Home Specialty is my go to store went I want a unique gift or something special for my own home. I've been shopping at this store for many years beginning with their store in Reston and then Leesburg and now Great Falls. Love it!
