Great place for healthy fresh food. Order a half or whole sandwich at the deli counter. They have various salads and wraps pre-made. Plus a market with organic & plant based food, fresh vegetables and fruit. A good selection or vitamin and herbs.

Favorite store to get some organic product. They always have good selection doesn't matter your diet.Lassen's Sourdough bread only made with four ingredients pair with some grass-fed beef and some good castle rock water the best

Visited at the last hour. Deli attendant exceptionally helpful with me getting a couple items as the section was closed, yet I was traveling through town and needed something to eat. Always a favorite when near to patronize.

Every time I'm in town im make sure I stop by, they always have been doing the best and healthiest food in Bakersfield, also the selection on groceries, meat , vegetables and personal care, are always the best option for the health oriented buyer, when in Bakersfield CA, check Lassen's you will not be disappointed

I really enjoyed shopping at this Lassens while living in Bakersfield for a few months. They have fantastic vegan options everywhere in the store. I especially enjoyed the deli and prepared foods options. It was so neat to be able take home vegan enchiladas, lasagna, mashed potatoes and more! What a treat! Especially the Greek salad! So good! Thank you, Lassens!

I love shopping here however it’s not very clean and some of the prices are a little high, but they have an amazing selection.

I love Lassen's! Bakersfield is blessed to have such a great store. The manager Jay and his staff has done a wonderful job in keeping the store clean, orderly and fully stocked. If they don't have something I want in the supplement area, they have always been quick to look it up and offer to special order it for me. I have special ordered things many times and they have always given me a call when it comes in. They are also very knowledgeable and I appreciate them sharing their knowledge with me. The food area is another favorite of mine. Great food, selection and service. Check out it always quick too. If there is more than about 3 customers in line, they always open up another register so the wait is always minimal. Thanks to the Lassen's folks for keeping such a high standard. I love this place! They have a great selection of healthy and organic food. I always go here to buy local honey and vegetarian/vegan products. They also have a good selections of vitamins and beauty care. And if you need a quick lunch they also have a deli that's pretty tasty. I enjoy shopping here from time to time. It can be a bit pricey but that's expected for a health food store.

One of the best store in town. They sell product that good for your health and they got my favorite cereal.

Very good things! Fresh tuna sandwich and egg salad very good!
Went back and the following occurred. Those that make the sandwiches do not "pay attention" to customers request. Size of sandwich was about half the size of previous visit. Quality of chicken salad, potatoe salad and tuna was still good. Paying attention to detail is not!

They make juice's and smoothies all fresh fruits and veggies with protein powders too. They aslo make fresh healthy sandwiches and vegan ones as well.

Normally I dont post reviews unless its a positive one. There are several reasons why Ive been shopping here one is because of the story behind the founder of this business a WOMAN named Oda Lassen, she had an idea and turned into a business 50 years ago! I Love to support small woman owned businesess. 2nd reason why I love to shop here is the FOOD at the Deli Yummy the Jackfruit Burrito is to super good and so are their breakfast burritos 🙌.
Some of the workers there are amazing, Ive come to know some of the ladies at the deli and theyre super!
3rd reason why I like it here is they carry Vegan , Toxic Free cosmetics, hair products and their oils are awesome!
Yes they are products are a tiny bit more expensive but thats OK. During the pandemic this place was stocked of the items other stores were out of, like Alcohol , toilet paper, handsanitizer, paper towels and Aloe Gel. So I was grateful.

A rather big store that sells a variety of health foods and supplements. It's a combination of grocery, deli and vitamin shop. The prices on some items seem a bit high. However, the do have weekly sales.

I went here hoping to find a Kombucha starter kit and discovered there were several options. Score! I was afraid I'd have to travel to Los Angeles to find one. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The deli and salad bar make this a spot to visit for a healthy lunch. I'll be taking advantage of that when I want to mix up my work lunches.

I love everything about this store except their prices, which are consistent with other high quality health food stores. Cater to people who are looking to stay healthy, and also to vegans and vegetarians. All staff is very friendly and helpful.

I love this place!!! I personally have had my fair share of issues when it comes to man made medication. I am very picky when it comes to food, perishables etc; this place is all natural food, herbs, hair products ie; shampoos, conditioners, soap etc. If your into aromatherapy this is the place to be. I love everything about Lassens except one thing!!! Why are there not more of them? Granted by today's standards...its a little pricey...but shouldn't your health be as well? Just my taje though. Carry on.

The only Grocery store in Bakersfield that has only organic produce, Lassen's, although a small store by square footage, still matches the bigger health food stores in variety of products. They constantly change out their inventory and bring in the newest health foods and drinks. Their pre-made foods (including sushi) and juice bar tend to be very busy during lunch hours and unfortunately their check-out system isn't the most streamlined process. Prices are a bit expensive but they do have great sales.

I loved this place. It has a huge selection of great items. The deli was amazing for lunch. Huge salad bar with many prepared salads and soups. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved it!
