Off Premise: Real wine, Whiskey, Craft Beer

I’ve been there twice thusfar. The first time I spoke with a very knowledgeable woman who was extremely smart and well versed in what they were selling. Hard to come by today. (I apologize as I forget her name.) Came in a second time
the other day and picked up a couple of things and met Adam who was also a great person!
Didn’t want to take up too much of their time but a great shop nonetheless. A great experience both times. Highly recommend.

Have been in a few times before just to peruse as I live nearby. Today I was in the mood for a new wine with dinner and stopped by. Omg I wish I had gotten the name of the staff member but she was so helpful and friendly! She helped me pick out this awesome wine, and I got some suggestions I will probably be back for. Cheers!

My favorite place to buy liquor and wine. They are so knowledgeable and have an amazing selection of small batch, organic, and biodynamic options.

Wonderful boutique spirits and wine shop. The owner Adam does a great job sourcing unique wines and champagne and hard to find tequila and whiskey. Great hospitality and you can tell Adam and Jackie (sp?) genuinely want you to find what you’re looking for.

One of a kind type of shop. Here's why I love Off Premise...Adam (store owner) acknowledges the rising price of so-so bourbon. He then turns his attention to brandy and agave spirits and he does it in a non pretentious way.

They should have a 10/5 Star system for Off Premise. The owner, Adam, is insanely knowledgable and carries an exceptionally well rounded inventory of beverages. Then he hired Jackie and Off Premise became next level. I don't drink any wine unless she tells me to. She knows exactly what you're looking for even if you don't. This is truly the perfect local liquor store and is a delight to have in the neighborhood. Even if I moved it would be well worth the drive. Stop going to Binnys and Vin. Shop small and local and talk to people who can't wait to share their passion and expertise with customers.

Love this place. Awesome selection and some different inventory you won’t find at a normal liquor store. Very friendly owner and staff! Always a pleasant experience. Will help you find what you want at the price point you want. No upselling- just genuine help. Will continue to come back regularly

This is a great wine store. The folks here know their stuff. I love hearing them talk about their wines and have never been disappointed with their recommendations.

2023 Update

Been going to OP for 4+ years and it's still one of my favorite shops. Adam and Jackie are constantly bringing in new wines, bourbons, tequilas and mezcals to try.

Went there for time tonight to try one of their store picks and it was phenomenal. Adam the owner really knows what he's talking about and will walk you through a tasting and offer to share a glass so you know what you're getting into. Definitely going to be one of my new favorite go-to spots!

Adam and Jackie know their stuff and have a lot of selections you won't find at the big box corporate stores. They are the place to go in Chicago for Agave (Tequila and Mezcal) as well as organic wines.

Love this shop, always so friendly and give the best recommendations.

Off Premise is the real deal. Adam is heavily involved in the spirits community and has worked to add a considerable amount of high-end brandy. Always responsive on social media, always looking to order new, interesting products. I’ve spent a few thousand here and never once had an issue!

Oh, minus one star for no Blantons. Just kidding :)
