Top-notch staff that went the extra mile to help us with a shuttle when we forgot to leave the keys with the shop staff. The day could have turned out badly without quality folks looking out for us! Your concern for customer service is appreciated!

There are good guides and there are out of this world guides. Braden is one of those. I have been out with him twice on the Missouri and each trip has been beyond amazing. He knows his fish and that river. Book him through the shop.

Messed up my order, but definitely handled it better than I expected! Originally failed to deliver my Buff in time, but when I called they rectified it and delivered it (rush) with a discount. The customer service over the phone was solid. I attached the pic of the card they sent with my delivery. Recommend them based on customer service, let alone product was as promised.

After a positive experience last year with my brother in law, I decided to bring my wife, who had never been fly fishing, out to fish the Missouri River. Being Great Lakes steelheaders, she had some experience but all floating beads.

We had a two day guided trip out of Headhunters with our guide, Max, who was great with her. He was patient, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. She ended up boating north of 40 fish in two days and smiled the whole time. We will be asking for him the next time we head out to Craig.

I had purchased a starter combo for my wife before the trip but discovered that the reel was defective on day one so she ended up using my rod while I used the defective one. When we got back to the shop, we were directed to Richard as the guy to talk to about fly rods. We ended up buying her a new Sage Sonic and Galvin reel, which she used to catch twice as many fish as I did the second day. Richard was a huge help and she couldn’t be happier with her new setup. We expected to pay a premium for a rod and reel at a local shop on the river but upon checking, pricing was competitive and fair.

10/10 Great shop, great people and great fishing.

Such an amazing family owned business and they provide an awesome customer support! My son was very excited to learn more about fly fishing and found their shop to rent our gear, but unfortunately the fishing rod snapped in half.. The owners were extremely kind and understanding and helped us have a pleasant experience after all. We highly recommend their services, hope we will go visit them again soon.

Fished with Kurt this week he worked hard for us and we got on some nice fish, even with the high water. Highly recommend Headhunters for your Missouri river fly fishing needs.

Just finished our 12th year working with Headhunter on both lodging and guides. Everything was perfect. Great places to stay and lots and I mean lots of great fishing.

Absolutely best customer service! In looking for a shuttle for our day float, this crew was extremely helpful and informative on average times for us to reach each outlet. So thankful for there knowledge and dependability.

I booked a float trip for my son and me. Great experience and lasting memories for us. Our guide Brett Matula was very good, putting us on a lot of fish. My son landed a very nice fish. The shop is well stocked and clean, the service is very good. I also booked a night in the Brown cabin. The accommodations were great. Clean and comfortable. I would go again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our rental cabin (the Rainbow). The charcoal we brought was damp and would not light, they delivered a backup bag, saved our meal. Fly advice was excellent, shuttle done on-time and knowledge of river locations was on the money. Very enjoyable trip - coming back in spring.

An absolutely top notch outfit. Every aspect of their operation is friendly and professional, from super hard-working guides, to very experienced in-store help, to assistance with lodging arrangements, to teaching techniques if needed, and best of all, they want you to have a great time. It helps, too, that their shop is located on arguably the best river in Montana, the mighty Missouri.

An outstanding choice and a must stop if you’re fishing the Missouri River near Craig. The shop is full of friendly & incredibly fishy folks who are always welcoming and happy to taylor their advice to the level of angler you may be. Outstanding service and an incredible stay. I can’t thank Richard and Julie enough for their hospitality. I drove in from Missoula after a long week of hunting to spend the weekend hunting the Beartooth. I was ready for a good night sleep. We stayed in the cabins which are very clean comfortable and well decorated. An amazing place to stay and I’ll be back for fishing. Thank you again, I would highly recommend a stay her,

What an amazing time! Our guide, Ben Hardy, was absolutely the best. He was extremely knowledgable of the river and fishing. He clearly communicated and demonstrated fishing techniques to guarantee we had a successful day of fishing. This was one of our favorite Montana fishing trips and we will definitely be back to fish with Headhunters.

Well stocked small shop, friendly, knowledgeable staff and amazing outfitter with the best guides in the area. I'm a novice fly fisherman and Beth tutored me well. Taught me to Nymph and how to fish from a drift boat. Ben Hardy guided me to a feeding Brown Trout on a side channel, we stalked him, parked and watched him for 10 minutes while Ben set up a rig with a tiny Blue Cripple, and coached me through a reach cast, and how to not spook the fish when I missed the mark. On the 4th try I nailed the drift and watched in awe as this beautiful Brown attacked my bug, I latched on, hung on and landed a 23 inch Brown on my first real dry fly attempt. It was a religious life changing experience. The next day Ryan had us catching lots of large strong Rainbows with 4 more dry fly catches late in the day at the Land of the Giants. Beginner or expert these guys know the Missouri, and you will not be disappointed. I'll be back.
