Circle K

Literally the nicest convenience store I've ever been to. All the employees were awesome, I saw a guy leave without his change and the worker went outside after him to return his change, above and beyond.

a convenience store is a convenience store. great selection of stuff. hours on the other hand… semi-inaccurate.

staff are very nice and friendly, though :)

open till “midnight” yet doors locked two hours prior and yet security was sitting in there with the door locked. looks like i was supposed to buzz in or something…?

i honestly get the need for security and all due to all the things that happen at night, but why have the doors locked hours prior to close.

night workers, night owls, etc etc likely want to grab stuff, so it’s necessary to have security sitting inside there at those hours, a buzzer is just out of the idea. other then all that, circle k is pretty good.

No ice machine and the soft pretzels where stocked for like a day... bring em back plz :( I do like the no contract check out and it is pretty clean!:) BUT I NEED ICESS AND PRETZELS edit: I raised a star becuase they had the delicious yummy pretzels back the other day♡

Love that this Circle K is here but every time I go for a fountain drink the ice machine is either broke or not working which is sad cause I love fountain drinks.

This place is supposed to open at 6:00am, It’s 6:40am and no one is there. I hope they can find the way to REALLY open at 6:00am or at least change the hours at the door because It’s really disrespectful to customers who wants to grab a coffee before work or whatever they need at any time that the store is supposed to be open

The sign on the door says they're open till midnight, but they have the doors locked at 11:45pm, and the girl was just standing there watching her phone and ignoring us at the door. We even rang the bell and knocked on the door, but she's too busy on her phone to be doing her job!

Summary: nothing convenient about a store that isn't consistently open.

Good news first: their mid day shift is awesome. They are friendly & helpful.

Unfortunately, there is also really bad news:

They habitually open after the posted start time, and lock the doors well before the posted close times. Once had the door aggressively slammed in my face because they were on an unannounced "close", despite being staffed and accepting deliveries.

In my experience they are more regularly closed during posted business hours than they are open. In addition to not being 24hrs their random unwillingness to operate makes me not even bother to try coming by, despite living on the same block.

It’s clean, people are nice, the coffee isn’t bad, and they literally NEVER have ANY hot food, there’s nothing. I work in the area and was excited to have nearby easy food as it’s the only convenience store in the immediate vicinity and it’s basically worthless for anything that isn’t chips or self serve drinks. The shop where I work is just a couple doors down and I hear customers complain about there being no food ALL THE TIME, so it’s not that it’s not in demand. PLEASE just put out FOOD.

You are not allowed to listen to the city of Chicago and pretend your fountain machines are out of order over some false information when you charge monthly sip and saves. We expect reimbursement.

The ice machine is broke and they don't have a crushed ice option. That location should have it because people in Lakeview like ice coffee with nugget ice.
