A great place to get the things you want or need. Also a great place to try new things. They have a variety of items but one thing that stood out was a ice cream snack which was very tasty. Also gummy candies. We like them.

I love this store it has so many cute things and the candy is so good!!! It’s cheap as well but I think the prices are good.I love getting the waffle ice cream and the boba and strawberry milk there.Definitely recommend to go there!!!!😊😁

Love this store, I always get my rice and sauces here. Great noodle and cold case selection as well! They also have beautiful ceramics, I have several ramen bowls and tea cups from this shop. Very fair prices!

The store owner was a wealth of knowledge. I came because I am learning Japanese and trying to immerse myself in the culture. She walked me through the store and guided me through things that I could start with even recommended things that were vegan she was so kind. Even recommended places I could pick up more Japanese

I grew up eating Japanese food so it's my privilege to be able to cook Japanese food for my all-American husband. Tokyo has quite a few selections for the best ingredients and fresh products. It's rather pricey, but when I think of the convenience of having a Japanese food store within such short distance, I can't complain. It's a great place to buy a little souvenir for your friends and loved ones too. I speak Japanese so I aways talk to the owner in Japanese, and it's a breathe of fresh air to converse in Japanese in a town like Salinas. She gives me suggestions, and keeps me updated on products sold there. I normally visit in the morning so there won't be any crowd since it's a relatively small store. There's always something for anyone there at Tokyo. I highly recommend this place for those who are interested in oriental foods and snacks.

Lady was very polite! Great customer service is always a plus! I loved that I can get Japanese goodies in Salinas. I hope to see more Okinawan goodies like Soba, rice triangles, peach ice tea in a carton and CC lemon♡ Definitely going back! I thought it was great they had Orion Beer♡

Love coming here for my snacks and Japanese ingredients!! The also carry some other kitchen items and lunchbags. The family/owners are super nice & helpful. Come visit, you won't be disappointed!! 🥰❤

Amazing place, I get stuff for my sushi here!! Small but cute :) I go there with my dad and sometimes sister. Recommend worth the 15-20 minute drive!

Beautiful goods in a sweet little shop. The shop is tiny, but look in every corner and you'll find lovely Japanese goods. The shopkeeper is more than happy to special order goods as needed.

The foods and drinks sold in this store are authentic - almost every label on the packaging will say "product of Japan" and "shipped from Japan" (just to be specific). The variety is marvelously wide, both in category and in flavor. You'll find everything from Yan Yan and melon flavored mochi to dried crabs and fresh octopus. Moreover, a wonderful array of trinkets and other items can be found, including origami, printed chop sticks, tea sets, and bento boxes. The average price of the items is very reasonable, and the shop owner is a friendly woman who will answer all your questions about the store and Japanese cuisine thoroughly and enthusiastically. This store is truly a gem, and I know it will have exactly what you're looking for.

Complete 5 stars. They have all good stuff from Japan and other Asian foods. The workers are nice and answer my questions.

Good selection of Oriental foods, snacks, and gifts; prompt, friendly service; decent prices. I make time, in my busy schedule, to come here. Tokyo is a great shop.

Cute local Asian food market. They carry a large selection of Asian items as well as the "marble soda" my kids love in 2 different sizes!

Went to get some supplies for sushi and tempura, they had exactly what I needed. Fun place to look around.

My favorite spot in salinas to get some ramune, udon noodles, & iced coffee... among many other snacks and goodies! Take some time to look around cuz there is so much cool items
