Warhammer

I want to prefice this by saying that I never write reviews but I've been moved by how amazing this place is. The selection is great, the store is tidy and organized, but the community is really what makes it special. I've had nothing but great experiences with who I've met in there, and while I haven't done any of the gaming sessions yet, I certainly plan to. I also have to mention Rich, who is a total gem and always has the time to answer questions or talk shop but always emphasizes how the hobby is what you want to make of it. My only gripe with the store is that I'll never have enough free time to spend in it.

Overwhelming in a good way. It's literally just a store filled with warhammer kits, hobby supplies, and a few tables for painting and gaming. Every one in there was super friendly and now I'm going to go back there tomorrow to buy a bunch of minis. Prices are good; in line with what you can expect for luxury goods retail in California. The place smelled fantastic too, which, if you know, you know.

The most amazing and helpful staff, the first time you go in there they let you make and paint your own figure, and they have a massive selection anything related to Warhammer. There is also an area where you can come in and play the actual Warhammer game for free with your friends and/or whoever else is in the store. Overall an amazing experience, would recommend.

Warhammer has an amazing selection of figures, paints, plus a knowledgeable staff that is ready to answer any question gladly. If you're thinking of playing Warhammer, Blood Bowl or Age of Sigmar this is definitely where to start.

This place was awesome. Stopped in to see what a store with a name like Warhammer was about and was pleasantly surprised. Rich made us feel very welcome. The overall experience made my day.

Had no experience with this hobby but my nephew got really excited about it after walking in so I bought him a starter set recommended by the staff. Loved it. Now he goes almost every day and learns how to assemble and paint with the help of the owner Ben. Great guy. Great place for your kids to hang out. Very clean cut.

My husband and I's first time in. Rich was very helpful and knowledgeable. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back.

Lots of warhammer supplies. Genuinely one of my favorite stores in Modesto. Prices are reasonable and about what you'd expect to pay for GW merchandise. Friendly staff.

Warhammer is the quintessential tabletop wargaming experience packed with polish and spice. This new shop follows suit with its friendly staff, clean environment, and tidy displays. Having been lucky enough to go to their soft opening, I was warmly welcomed and even given a demo of what Warhammer is. If there is even the slightest interest in yourself about what Warhammer is, this is the place to go. They will teach you and guide you every step of the way through this incredible hobby and you'll no doubt find a few friends in the process. Here's to a great year for our new Warhammer store!

Full disclosure: I’m not a Warhammer person. I went in to see if I could find small enough brushes for the eyes in an oil painting I’m working on. Not only did I find some tiny lining brushes, I was extremely happy with the help I got here. I’m very bad with names but I think the person who helped me was Rich. He was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. He even talked with me about giallo films for a hot second. I think I actually want to paint a miniature now!

The staff there is awesome! Ben with the British accent is a cool guy and took time with my 12yo to explain the world of Warhammer and teach him dry brushing technique to paint the figures. Although Warhammer may not be for everyone it got my kid off video games and using his hands to build and paint these models. Be Warned.......Warhammer can be an expensive venture, but the creativity, clean fun, and community is awesome and priceless.

The people there were enthusiastic, considerate, and helpful. I saw them answering many questions and taking time to explain the product and teach people how to play and paint. They offer a large selection of Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar product. I will definitely be returning.

Nice little spot for this shop. Ben is always very chipper and a pleasure to talk to. He is very knowledgeable, able to answer all the questions asked of him, and willing to locate an answer if he doesn't know it. Doesn't overdo the uncomfortable upsell, but does suggest a few options when you're working on a project. Much appreciated on that. Will keep stopping in to see what's new and participate in his events.

Great staff and amazing selection of Warhammer fantasy and 40k figures, also paints and other accessories.

I've always wanted to learn to play Warhammer 40k. Ben the Manager there, took time out of his busy schedule and ran me through a demo of the game. He also gave me a space marine figure and showed me how to easily paint the figure. Me, without any talent.... dry brushing works!! My nephew and I will be back in to learn, play, and have fun! If you are looking for a new game to play, go to this place. But be warned Warhammer is addictive and kinda pricey.

Sweet crowd the store has tons on collections paints, figures and boards. Definitely a quick stop if you have some free time. Everyone is warm welcoming and have tons of knowledge on the platform!

Finally a place for Warhammer players in Modesto! Great staff and good place to meet other gamers. The community is alive and well after years if being lost and wandering in the warp.

Gentleman at the counter was super helpful with getting paint colors for a new hobby painter. I will definitely be back when I need to fill out more colors!
