The Fly Fishers

Terrific service for a last-minute, off-the-wall request. Who in their right mind walks into a WI fly shop asking for the cheapest 3/4 WT reel to balance a 3WT double taper SA line, and no backing color doesn't matter? Me. And the black backing is great.
The reel performed beyond expectations, handled BIG Salmon well on my 10' 3WT Syndicate. In fainess to the fish I broke them off rather than take what life they had left. I did net this smaller male, I was hoping was a Steelhead or Brown, but I can't complain for a self guided trip.

Been going here for several years. The team is excellent, giving lots of great advice and info regarding equipment, gear, fishing locations, and fly tying. Selection is great, with tons of options at many different price points. Love going here and spending some time!

While we were picking out flies for smallies on the Milwaukee river the young lady that helped me got my grandson involved and asked him to pick out the fly that he was most drawn to. He loved this and I loved getting him involved in the process. I could see that she had a passion for fly fishing and had a great way to make it a family trip. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Flies for all regions and types of fishing in Wisconsin. Don't be afraid to come on by and have them help you find a rod and reel to get you fishing. I don't believe you could go wrong with any lower priced rod they offer such as the ECHOS. The Lift or carbon XL are both fantastic rods. I currently fish a Carbon XL and absolutely love it I also have a Lift that I also love. Great selection of reels also. Take advantage of all the water around the Milwaukee area.
P.S.I put my smallie flys on a rock to take a picture of them just cause it seemed more fun and less boring.

Whichever gentleman helped me today was very informative, helpful, and didn’t try to upsell me on a reel which I really appreciated.

For beginners - a must stop. I had a great experience at the shop yesterday. I really appreciate the quality products but more importantly, the fantastic service and education provided by the staff. They were happy to spend as much time with me as I wanted and I never felt rushed. I really got a bonus when they put their heads together on several issues. I am a beginner to fly fishing and did enough homework to be dangerous but the experience they had was critical in my decisions as to what to purchase. I look forward to continue to purchase from this shop.

A nice little shop with a lot of selection. My regular shop closed forever due to the pandemic and I've had to resort to buying stuff at big box fishing stores that never had anyone with experience or ability to answer questions.

That's not this place. Every question asked was push into the direction I needed to go. I left with way more than I expected.

While I was there several other people were helped and it was funny listening to the conversations between the staff and patrons ranging from I need this to do that. Or the grandmother who was shopping for her adult grandson out of state. Clearly she wrote down a few words she heard in a conversation and the staff helped fill in the blanks. Never was she pressured to get this or that and was also informed about gift cards and online ordering. And in the end she still left with a handful of flies and other stuff that she picked out herself without any pressure besides if you have any questions just ask.

One of the best fly shops around, they’ve got a very large selection of quality gear.

Ordered a rod from them and received it very quick (2 days)! There was an issue with registering it for the manufacturer's warranty, but I called and they were able to take care of the issue fast and easily. Specifically, I want to thank Bart for the awesome service. Will continue to shop here because of the experience I had working with him.

This store is a GEM! Besides all the gear anyone would need, they have the most knowledgeable staff. Knowing my husband can be a challenging customer (believes he knows more than anyone else so he doesn't trust anyone), I really didn't have many expectations of having a successful shopping trip. Jared quickly gained his trust and was able to get him all set up. He never once tried to upsell us anything either! I was very impressed with Jared and the store. Top notch experience!

Great fly shop with a great supply of all things fly fishing from salt to trout, they have it all. They also have a great staff that is always there to help out. Joe has always had amazing advice from gear to where to fish next, which goes a long way with a young angler like myself starting to get into the world of fly fishing.

Been going here for years so figured it was time to write a review. This place is so rad. All the gear and knowledge to get you on any species you desire. Fun group of guys and girls that give you time of day and share spots and favorite flies for a good afternoon of DYI and also stoking that salt water passion. Cheers y’all.

I needed high quality material and they hand picked the order for me so I could get the quality I wanted for my fly pattern. They also helped me get the material I wanted even though I ordered the wrong stuff initially. Thanks guys for being really helpful. I was looking for an Echo dealer who had an online presence and came across these guys. I'd ordered a reel and got a call from an employee there who said the fly line I'd ordered was out of stock. Not only did he upgrade me to a better line at the same cost, he also offered to spool up the line too! Got my order within 2 days. Outstanding customer service. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone, and I'll shop there again for sure.

Broke a rod and needed a replacement in a hurry. I also wanted to add that these guys were the only one of many stores that I had called that had the Sage X that I was after. If you have any hesitation in ordering from this store put that to bed and don't hesitate. 100% top notch and good people. Made it very easy to order and helped me out big time. Will be using this vendor many times over.

Great bunch of guys! New to fly fishing and they actually talked me out of buying stuff they didn't think I would need, this sort of honesty is rare these days. Thier prices are competitive with online shopping, the personal touch of dealing with a knowledgeable sales person can't be beat. They were very willing to get me started with fly tying and direct me to local streams for fishing.

First, be advised, the store is moving. I think the fella said about 5 miles from its current location. The shop astounded me! I have been to fly shops in Virginia, Washington, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. Never seen another shop in all my travels with all the modern, up to date goodies this store carries! I was just blown away at all the merchandise. If you can't find it here, it probably doesn't exist. Both people working there were extremely helpful without being pushy or trying to sell me something I didn't really need. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop by, you will be happy you did!

Great store and the group of guys here really know there stuff! I will come back in the future for more flying tying material and fly fishing gear. They also took the time to answer any questions that I had. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a great fly shop!
