Transit Tees

Terrific spot to buy Chicago-related retail. Shirts, games, cards, socks, shower curtains, and more. One of my favorite places to buy gifts for friends.

Update 11/13/23

I received a message shortly after this review they offered to help with the situation and ended up sending me a replacement model. The condition of the model was no fault of their own and the newer model does have some manufacturing defects but it is in way better condition than the first one I bought. I do appreciate them for resolving this matter. Also added a photo to compare the two copies.

Edit: This was not a bargain bin item this was a regular priced wooden bus at $18.00 if it was a bargain item i would not have had an issue..

Prices are a bit high i can get around that but i got sold was poor quality copy and i sent and email and even messaged their page and never received a response.

Good store for postcrossing. Lots of gift shops don't supply postcards for whatever reasons, but Transit Tees has a good variety of Chicago themed cards. My only wish is I use multiple stamps when exchanging postcards internationally so wish the description text was positioned differently since the stamps will cover the text sometimes. But the art is beautiful on the postcards.

Excellent shop for Chicago-based gifts. We travelled out having read reviews and purchased some items that youcan only buy from there.

Also, they have a bargain section for marked-down items.

If you're a Chicagoan and looking for a Chicago themed gift for someone, this is your spot! They have some great stuff. A lot of awesome shirts, post cards, and cups/mugs!

Very nice souvenir shop. Beware, they don’t have a shirt with the L map on it.
They do have a very nice selection of pins, though.

This store is the perfect place for buying souvenir gifts, both for local residents and even for tourists. Transit Tees offers a wide selection of t-shirts to choose from that are locally made and of high quality. They also have board games, stickers, keychains, and magnets that can be used on the fridge. Mugs, pins, hats, and many more items can also be found here. The keychains are my personal favorites because I love keychains and I always buy them, especially if they are cute. They also offer huge discounts on specific items. This store is neat, and the items are properly organized. The customer service is great, and the people were really accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend this store.

A shop perfect if you're a transit geek! Lots of selection of unique gifts!!! So much fun to look through and choose. Highly recommend stopping by and grabbing something awesome.

Great shop for everything Chicago themed. From framed pictures to refrigerator magnets and everything in between

I visited one day because I do know some of the staff here. I had to come when no one else is in this store just staring at stuff and being in the way. I picked up about $300 in items that I can literally make myself and the staff that I know that works here was working an event off-site. The other employee gave me a 20% discount because I knew the staff. My friends that do work there said it should've been 40%. I'm fine with a 20% just because I knew staff members and was treated kindly. Now this I can support.

Lots of great Chicago themed merchandise. From CTA token beverage coasters to Chicago skyline wall art cut from old records (really very creative, you should check it out online). For anyone looking for a Chicago souvenir or Chicago apparel or Chicago home decor or Chicago barware this is the place. They also offer wholesale accounts for larger corporate purchases. The staff are friendly and responsive. Two convenient locations if you happen to be in Wicker Park or Andersonville. If not take the EL to get there.

It's easy to wander into tacky shops when looking for Chicago-themed gifts -- this is not one of those. Tasteful pins, shirts, magnets, wall art, and so forth fill the shop, the staff are always very friendly, and the location in Wicker Park just can't be beat.

Love this cool little shop! The apparel and the stationary make for really great and unique gifts. If you are looking for legit. cool and uniquely Chicago gifts, this place is definitely worth a visit!

I love this store. I moved to Chicago chiefly for the fantastic public transit. I've got four big tea mugs now from Transit Tees with different transit related designs. They've got a broad assortment of different products with transit related designs; cutting boards, pins, magnets, and (obvs) apparel

If you are in love with Chicago, this is the store for you.
From shirts to prints to coasters to jewelry to photographs to beer glasses, this place has the coolest stuff related to Chicago, paying special homage to the CTA - that which we love to hate; our second home; the network we rely on so dearly...
This is a great destination for gift purchasing purposes, and they have things that non-Chicagoans enjoy as well. I've seen a few other cities highlighted in their store from time to time, but the CTA is their main focus, and they do it spectacularly.

I really enjoyed my shopping experience at this soveneir shop. The owners of the shop are hospitable and friendly. I recommend Transit Tees for people who want to buy soveneirs last minute before you catch Damen Blue Line to O'Hare airport. This is the best place to buy soveniers for people who want more options to buy Chicago soveniers besides the downtown State Street soveneir shops.

They have so many awesome things here, it is hard not to buy everything. I love the "L" inspired things such as the t-shirt, the magnets and the CUP! I got a very cool shirt there by an artist, I love it. Transit tees is the silver lining in the shopping experience in Wicker Park.

I love the whole experience.... a lot of the items inside the location brings back so many memories. It reminds me of when I was a little girl. Thanks so much for capturing things of my childhood..... #backdownmemorylane ❤
