Ray's Food Place

My wife and I were visiting from Des Moines for vacation and coming back from Florence, and stopped in at random for drinks and snacks. My wife had to use the bathroom, and the cashier Chris was extremely polite about it, and even insisted that it wasn't necessary for her to wait in line and buy something for the bathroom code. With that simple comment, it told me everything I needed to know about the place. People complain about prices without understanding exactly why they are priced the way they are, especially in a post-COVID world. Places like these grocery stores are what ties small-town communities together. Thank you for the excellent service.

Visiting a friend and always stop to check out the hot sauces to add to husband's collection.

Driving through town. We decided to stop here for a quick bite. Kind, friendly, attentive people work here. Plus, when we walked in the Donuts are right there. We went to the Hot Bar. I placed a few wings in the To Go container. Regular and some SPICY wings. Surprise surprise. Tasty, good. I would like to return some weekend to check out their Barbecue.

Good overall selection of items. Lots of craft beer and wine. A little over priced but not bad for a small town store

Best grocery store in town.

Found what I needed, and had a very friendly staff. I would recommend going there. They had a candy apple that had chocolate drizzles on it and it was the best caramel apple I have eaten in a long time. That was a real highlight from there. So if you haven't tried the caramel apples at Ray's, then I suggest you go get yourself one right now if you can. Have a great day.

Friendly and helpful staff. Easy in and out. Floor plans are wide and easy to navigate. Prices are comparable to most in Eugene and Florence.

Nice, old fashioned feel...fresh meat Dept with a real butcher!!!
I'd rather shop here...brick and mortar any day over pre packaged ground beef...ground in Arkansas! Ick

Expensive!!!! But there are some deals. A beautiful arrangement of flowers is only 10.00. Customer service is wonderful. A gal helped me find something and she was off. She asked me! Produce looked beautiful.

Great chocolate selection, lots of natural and allergy-sensitive food items. Pricey, but... that's Veneta, and frankly it's not pricey so much as the inventory is high-grade and priced appropriately.

Veneta gets lots of out of state visitors, and West Coast cost of living is sticker shock for a lot of folks.

Ray, is expensive, for me. But sometimes we just have too get the items we need at Ray's Food Place. The employees are awesome, very helpful that work there. They are very helpful,and keep the store super clean.

This is a home town grocery store which has a bakery, fresh vegetables & fruits & meat
department as well as frozen foods,
canned foods, dairy & cheese, & yogurt items & soda pops chilled & beer chilled & on shelves .
If they do not carry an item you want & you tell them they will try to get it for you. I think it is an all around good shopping for most items & even some not in good lines. I highly recommend shopping out here in Veneta. They also have a snack bar, fountain soda pops & coffee & tables with chairs to sit at while reading your paper or just relaxing.

Excellent customer service

Was impressed with this store. The help were extremely friendly and the store was very clean. Shelves were well stocked and everything was easy to find.

Great meats and produce, their deli is wonderful. They also have a bbq in parking lot once in a while. Like on weekends.

Prices are great; most large store are straight price/ Whealer is half or lower... "They have produce also/ milk eggs etc....

Helpful employees, almost everything you could look for at a grocery store. Higher prices than in town, but convenient and fresh

Love going to Rays when I visit my daughter. Always so clean well stocked and great people????
