Michael was great to work with and truly went above and beyond in making a custom ring for my husband. And considering it had custom elements that needed to be very precise, including specifically cut and placed stones, we were so ecstatic that it came with a little time to spare before our ceremony. Michael walked us through the different steps, offered multiple options and explained how they differed, and came up with such a wonderfully unique design based on our descriptions, which both my husband and I have been so thrilled with. Highly recommend working with Michael, especially for any custom pieces!

Michael has made beautiful custom jewelry for me and my husband in the past, including wedding rings, that I love and my new request turned out beautifully. I had lost a blue topaz earring and asked Michael to find a matching stone and make a mate for the one I still had. He matched the stone perfectly in size and color. I also purchased another pair of earring jackets for him that enhance my other gemstone studs. He has also created charms in 18k gold for me, including a waterfall. I treasure every piece he has made.

They did an excellent job on a wedding set for me with a gorgeous Oregon sunstone. The stone is amazing and the rings have an exquisite attention to detail. I can tell there was a lot of time and attention put into these rings. I am also impressed because it was not an expensive set (we had a budget WELL under $1000) but I felt like we got the same service that we would have gotten had we spent 5 times as much--which isn't the case everywhere. Besides the finished product being beautiful, I can tell this is the case because when he were not happy with the original casting, he redid the ring and started over and then shipped it for free because of the delay. This was an anniversary gift from my husband to replace a ring I wasn't really happy with and I couldn't be happier. I won't be needing a new wedding ring, but I'll be back for other jewelry for sure!

I’d talked with a few jewelers about a custom ring I wanted to get made. One just told me point blank that he couldn’t carve stones, although he'd be happy to make my ring as a simple gold signet. The others were only too happy to listen and suggest other ideas that they could make for me, but they were more interested in selling me what they could make, not what I actually wanted.

Then I found Foxfire Custom Jewelers. Michael listened to what I wanted. He showed me the gallery of custom rings that he’s made for other clients. He explained the process we’d take from ideas to design to approval to production. He understood exactly what I wanted, and he knew how to make it happen.

One thing that I particularly appreciated about Michael is that he’s not only a jeweler, but also an artist. He brought not just a jeweler's skills and precision, but also an artist's eye and esthetic to the project. Because he really listened and understood what I wanted, he was able to see my vision and take it up a couple of notches. I didn’t just get the ring I’d been picturing in my head — I got a personalized, wearable piece of art that is going to become a family heirloom! I couldn’t be happier with my ring or with the artist/jeweler who made it. I wish I could give more than five stars to show how amazingly happy I am with Foxfire — Michael exceeded my expectations in every way. I give Foxfire Custom Jewelers my highest recommendation.

(BTW, my ring is a 14K gold signet with custom engraving on the sides and a shield-shaped lapis lazuli with our genuine family crest carved into it, genealogically researched back to the mid 1600s in England. Michael cast the gold from a wax model and did the engraving all by hand.)

We worked with them when they had their Washington store. They were able to modify one of their current designs for my husband's wedding band and they produced a ring for me with my own design to compliment my husband's ring. The rings turned out beautifully! In the design process when I mentioned i loved the look of diamonds, but hated the moral and actual cost of them, they introduced me to moissanite without any hesitation, even though it's so much cheaper than diamond. Definitely recommended!

Michael personally designs and creates almost all of their beautiful jewelry. They work in sterling silver, all colors of gold, and even platinum and paladium. Custom design work, either walk-in or by appointment, is one of their specialties, with all of the work done in their on-site workshop. They also offer full service jewelry repair and free professional cleaning and inspection while you wait. All of their jewelry comes with a five year limited warranty at no additional charge and they also offer free ring resizing with purchase. The sales staff are professional yet down-to-earth, and you can really tell that they love and are passionate about their products. You will never feel pressured or intimidated in this store, and you can tell than they believe in what they do by the fact that everyone who works there is proudly wearing personally owned examples of Michael's work (sometimes more than one!). I'd had a ring design in my head since I was a little girl - an old fashioned, heirloom style, that I always wanted. When my husband proposed, I knew I wanted that ring for my wedding ring.
Noone in my city (Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA) did anything near that custom (the closest thing I found was 'well, we'll buy this ring, and then modify it...). I stumbled across Foxfire's website from a websearch, and instantly realized they were probably one of the few people who could make my dream ring.
Now, Foxfire is 1600 MILES from my home. Yet I convinced hubby to let me try. I sent foxfire my sketch via email, they gave me a price (very reasonable!) and then sent me a detailed rendering.
When I nervously mentioned that I actually DIDN'T want real diamonds in my wedding ring (my engagement band had them, and I was feeling a bit cost-conscious), they didn't try to upsell me, but did suggest moissanite instead of cubic zirconia, explaining the reason for the suggested change. I agreed, and then we discussed how I would get my sample for review. Normally foxfire does a wax casting, but since I was across an international border, we agreed that for a small fee they would make a silver version of my ring.
It was GORGEOUS, and once I tried it on, it not only fit, but confirmed we were good to cast the real thing.
A few short weeks later (Foxfire even rushed it for me since I was a bit late getting back to them due to other wedding issues), and it was in my hands - and WOW, it really was exactly like I wanted.

Simply put - Foxfire took my dream, and made it a reality. I will recommend them forever and a heartbeat for doing so!
