Other Worlds rules. Every time I walk by, I want to go in there and buy ~$200 of cool stuff! The owner (Ron) and the staff are always helpful and friendly and down for a chat, to give recommendations or to place a special order (which is a great way to shop local; Bezos doesn't need more $$, and most of the time you don't really need that RPG book tomorrow...).
They run Magic camps, D&D camps and all sorts of fun local events. Not to harp on the Amazon thing, but this is what you get when you pay a little extra for something at a local shop vs Amazon and it's priceless (and gives the young'ns a great place to experience these things)! During the pandemic, Ron delivered my online Christmas order to my house like Santa Claus!
They have a great selection of Graphic novels, a surprisingly large (for the space) well-curated selection of board games, and quite a few TTRPG games, mostly centered on D&D but if you're into the more niche RPGs like I am, they'll be happy to special order them and they usually arrive quickly.
Did I mention that it is next door to a great ice cream shop (Dairy Hill)?

I want to write this in two parts. First, as a customer of the shop for a long time, I can say with the utmost certainty that I genuinely recommend it. Other Worlds is focused on the community side of gaming and hobbies, and it shows. It showed when I was a young kid going in to buy magic packs, and it shows it now. It wears its community status as a badge of pride and it deserves it.

Now, as a former employee, I’m going to let you behind the curtains and see a bit of the magic at work: Ron is simply a pretty awesome boss. He always looks to hire people who he thinks can help grow and support the community there. From my time working there, I’ve seen him hire people who I would happily consider friends, all of whom have had a hand in shaping Other Worlds into what it is now. There is a genuine amount of care and enjoyment that comes with working there, and as much fun as you may be having shopping, we had just as much fun talking to you all about your favorite hobbies.

Other Worlds helped me understand what I wanted to do, and gave me an idea of what a workplace should be. So, as much as this is a review, I also just want to say thanks, to Ron and the team, for keeping the shop a stellar locale for community and connection.

No shortage of comics! If I owned an LGS, I would hope it would be as cool as OWG&C. If any owners read this, I would love to collaborate on a TCG project!

My son loves to shop, play dnd, and join in camps at this awesome neighborhood spot. Thank you to the staff that makes Other Worlds a welcoming safe place for all our kids to learn and hang out!

Other Worlds is a rare place that reminds you what fun looks and feels like. The store has so many wonderful things to explore that you could get lost like Alice in Wonderland. One of my favorite places to be and will always stay as a memory. Ron helped me start playing Magic with some of my friends and we were having a bunch of fun playing, and then covid hit and we kinda stopped playing but I'm gonna start playing again and I'll probably come by for Friday Night Magic 😁

Our family loves this store! It is a great community center and provides kids a place to come play games, meet friends, and hang out in a safe and social environment. We love the regular competitions as well as the ability to just drop in for a casual game. The staff is knowledgeable and the owner friendly.
