Kamal Spices

The shop is tiny but their customer service trumps all else. They greet most by name, know preferences and dislikes making shopping pleasant. I don't mind the few extra cents for reliable recommendations and quality goods. I particularly like their ready food and fresh veggies.

Excellent experience! I have never seen any indian store this much of clean, organized. If you're looking for fresh and authentic indian vegetable then don't go anywhere else. Vegetables are so fresh with very good quality. You won't find these type of quality veggies any where else... Mark my words!

There are many Indian groceries around, they all are doing great job. Kamal spice particularly very good at keeping fresh vegetables and ready to cook vegetables too. It's family owned business, and the owners are very kind. They make you feel as if we are doing shopping in our place. Thank you Kamal Spices for your great service.

Fantastic spice store. Their produce section is also top notch. Love their selection of Low fat Dahi and paneer. But what do I know ... I only cook Masala and Makhani on a weekly basis :D

Pricey but worth the fresh and local vegetables. Seriously, other stores are nowhere close to the quality of veggies you get here. We’ve been getting vegetables for almost 4 years now and they have been consistently good.

A small store but has everything, really like how the cut veggies, garlic and other items are all reasonable portions and not massive like the other places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I personally like their paratas, rotis and Chilli pickle but never tried the curries.

This is a fantastic Indian grocery store. You get fresh cut vegetable packets, idli dosa batters and lots of fresh veggies! And lots of chutneys and home cooked rotis and other food.

Good quality products. Little pricier compared to other in the area. But have good quality. Owners are hardworking and always ready to help even to haul groceries to your car.

Not as big or fancy as some of the new Indian grocery stores that have mushroomed around bay area but Kamal spices still manages to pack a punch in its 25x25 space. You will find here a great variety of both North and South Indian groceries and is THE BEST PLACE for freshly cut vegetables. E.g. White pumpkin, tindora, okra, doodhi thepla, fresh methi, 2-3 brands of Ragi Huri Hittu etc. Awesome! The freshly made rasgullas that they carry are delicious. It's run by a warm and friendly Gujarati couple who are always ready to help. I enjoy chatting with them in Gujarati. You can order things ahead of time, including cut vegetables for convenience. All in all, a great grocery store.

Loved their samosas, they have so many choices to shop

They have good collection of leafy greens and vegetables, this snacks are super fresh. The best part is you get fresh bajra roti, theplas, ragi roti, chapati. On weekdays you might get freshly made Indian curries.

Couple of things that I like
1) you can call them ahead of time and they will keep the stuff ready. You can just pick up and leave after paying.
2) they have cut vegetables that are clean and neat

There vegetable are awesome and super fresh. The shop owners are really good and nice people. I don't think I can shop anywhere else.

Excellent mid-sized Indian grocery store. They have a bunch of unusual sweets in the front, including some that are actually healthy as well as tasty.

We have been buying groceries at Kamal Spices since 2005. Though they are pricey we love the fresh vegetables and the variety that they have.

Compact and neat Indian store. It has all varieties of Indian groceries, snacks, vegetables. It has fresh samosas and ready to eat snacks.

I go here for fresh vegetables and Samosas. They have probably the best samosas in East bay area.
