Bobby D's BBQ

We flew down to Sedona for birthday week and decided to drive over to Jerome for the day! I'm so glad ... as we walked around, we were drawn to Bobby D's by the wonderful smells wafting from their smoker ... My partner and I split a full rack of ribs and onion rings, and we were in heaven! The ribs were meaty, moist, and so flavorful, and the onion rings were coated in a crispy light batter promoting the sweetness and freshness of their accompanying onion.

Our only regret is we didn't get back for an encore meal! Easily the best meal of the trip!

PS - Our friends had the pulled pork sandwich, reuben, and french fries and were equally thrilled with the taste and bountiful portions of their meal - try the French fries;
the coating had a nice kick!

It was fun reading about the building's former proprietor (a leaflet was provided at the tables). Unfortunately, he did not make an appearance while we were there. LOL 😆

Very friendly service and dog-friendly patio. Restaurant is seat-yourself and then you order at the bar, but they bring the food and drinks to your table promptly. Had the sliced BBQ sandwich and the bbq burger. Both were good. Excellent fries!

Stopped in here for lunch on a day trip to Jerome. My girlfriend and I arrived right around lunchtime on a Friday, there was no wait to place an order. The employees were friendly and the service was FAST.

My girlfriend and I had both ordered a pulled pork sandwich, some fries and the Mac and cheese. By the time we got our drinks from the fountain and sat down, our food was already being brought to us.

The food looked and tasted amazing, the house-made BBQ sauces were delicious as well. Not to mention some of the shiniest, most clean looking silverware too.

It was a beautiful day to sit on the outdoor dock and eat. Their Mac and cheese was some of the best I have ever had, the fries were good too. Pulled pork sandwich was perfect.
Prices are what you'd expect from any BBQ restaurant but the portion sizes are good for what you pay.

I highly recommend this as a place to go if you are in the area and want great food and great service.

No more opium den in the basement. Food was great, service was too. I got a beer. We shared brisket and ribs. Sides were fried zucchini and onion rings.

What a great experience. Fast service, beautiful back patio, delicious food. We had 1/2 lb brisket, 1 lb chicken wings, the slaw, beans, and cornbread. The perfect amount of food for 2 people to share. About 6 pieces of brisket, 8 chicken wings, and the small sides were plenty. The sauces are amazing, our favorite was the Arizona red. The chicken wings were flavorful, juicy, and delicious. The brisket was amazing, the fat was perfectly rendered and the cut of meat would just melt. Strong drinks, great atmosphere, amazing food.. What more do you want ?

Excellent atmosphere, sat outside on one of their tables. Menu was simple and various alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available. Prices very reasonable and serving size just right. Staff very friendly. Recommend the King Cuban sandwich and the Jerome Donkey for a alcoholic drink.

Sometimes you just stumble upon one of those restaurants that you’re really unsure about, but you’re so hungry that you don’t care. Being in Jerome, where everything is old, you have to give things a chance. We did that with Bobby D’s a few years ago, and it’s one of our favorite places now. We typically visit AZ (to go to Sedona), but now we make the trip out to Jerome at least once during our stay to eat at Bobby D’s. It’s a small, quaint place, with absolutely delicious eats. It’s not the fanciest place in the world, but you don’t want it to be. It’s perfect the way that it is. If there is a diamond in the rough, this is it! There are some other nice restaurants nearby, but give Bobby D’s a chance if you’re in Jerome. You’ll be glad that you did.

I really enjoyed this place. We could smell the barbecue aroma while shopping and it drew us in. The place was busy, but everyone was hard at work and let us know they would get to us shortly. Our wait wasn't too long, but it was about 2pm by the time we came for lunch. Our waitress Bree was super nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations and we ordered 2 of her picks (Arizona Cheesesteak/Spicy B Burger). The beef brisket was juicy and tender. I would highly recommend this. The spicy burger was mildly hot, but you can ask for it too be extra spicy if you want it hotter (fyi). You get provided with an assorted container of sauces for your liking (all had unique and delicious flavors). The sauces definitely make the meals complete. My boys enjoyed the fries and I really liked the zucchini fries. They were both crispy and hot. The coleslaw was very bland in our opinion and I wouldn't order it again. The side salad was ordered with the cilantro lime dressing that is made in house and it was perfect. It came with cucumbers, tomatoes and croutons, which was a perfect side salad. They personally sale their sauces, so I bought some togo ($12 for 1/$30 for 3/$45 for 4 with 2 seasoning rubs). I would go again for sure. Thank you everyone working today. They also had inside and outside dining options.

I had the Cuban King with large seasoned French fries. The sandwich is probably in the top 3 of best sandwiches I have ever had. If in Jerome run, don't walk and get to the bar and place the order. You will definitely thank me later.

This is the only place I will eat in Jerome! Best smoked meat and cool patio area - everyone is so positive and kind! Drink up! The Jerome Donkey is calling your name!

I hsd the delicious pulled pork and brisket, tried all of their sauces and the mustard one was my favorite (though all are great). Chester's favorite was the brisket. ;) The baked beans have shredded pork in them too! Our waitress Bonnie had great suggestions and was so fun. Can't wait to go back!

Like finding a pearl in an oyster at a restaurant, finding a good BBQ outside of the south is rare. Yeah I said it!! Bobby D's was just damn good and the town of Jerome was really cool. Try the sock store if its still there when you visit. I'd like to road trip there for an episode of Sound&Smoke one day. Well worth the trip.

Very good food and drinks and good service. Dog friendly with a dog menu they even put extra in her bowl. Highly recommended!

We were hungry and we let the beautiful smell of BBQ guide us to this place.

Decent prices (average sandwich plate with fries is about $15) but the food is superb so you definitely get your money’s worth.

Also this place is known for the patio’s view.

We had a great dinner here after a long day of hiking in Sonora. The fries are great and the BBQ fantastic. The cornbread was a bit too sweet for my taste though. The had many tasty sauces, and don't miss their prickly pear lemonade. Prices are good and the staff funny and nice.

The sauces make this place different. All are very unique and work well with any of the meats. Brisket was tender and juicy. Chicken wings were fried with a juicy interior. Wings without sauce (add it yourself) is recommended because there are several to choose from and they bring a sauce-flight (variety of sauces) and the rub is a sweet bbq. Same rub is used to season the fries.
Waitress Leah was excellent.

The oldest restaurant (the building itself) in Arizona is also the best! Bobby D's is a must experience restaurant! The setting and atmosphere is unlike any other restaurant in Arizona. The intoxicating smell of BBQ smokers while sitting on the patio on a perfect Arizona day reminds you you're at a real BBQ joint. The excellent variety of in-house BBQ sauces satisfies every taste. Their in-house lemonade is amazing. My favorite entree is the brisket sandwich. Amazing tender brisket on a crispy brioche bun with a side of the best fries. Bobby D's is your reason to come to Jerome!

Everything is decently priced, served warm and fast! Super friendly service. We stopped in at 2pm and were fed promptly and kindly. Good eats, Jerome. We ordered Brisket sandwiches

The smoke rolling out was amazing so we ate, turns out the smoke created amazing results! The smoked pulled pork cubano was hands down the best. Brisket sandwich was also great, the bbq sauces were also all very good. The fries were given a shake of the pork rub...made them out of sight! We ate it all and killer drink list. Hope to eat here again!

I am from the south and like to use my smoker... Trust me when I say you must try Bobby D's. Pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I have had. Not too smoky and about as tender as you could make it. The bun was very good too. Jalapeno molassess and tangy sauces had excellent flavor.
